    Picard: Doctor Crusher.

Crusher and Riker help Picard to his feet. Crusher and Picard walk to the turbolift. When the doors open automatically, Picard looks back at the bridge, smiles then enters the tubolift with Crusher.

Later, Picard is in his quarters, surveying the room, examining his possessions. The door chime rings. Picard takes a moment to remember what that chime means.

    Picard: Come.

Riker enters carrying a small box.

Riker: We were able to open the probe and examine it. Apparently whatever locked into your appears to have been self-terminating. It's no longer functional. We found this inside.

Riker hands Picard the box and leaves. Picard puts the box down on his desk and opens it. The Ressikan flute is inside, Picard takes it and holds it close, then walks to the viewport and starts playing the song he learned on Kataan.

I have probably seen all or part of this episode at least ten times. That final, wordless scene is so powerful to me that I still stop breathing until the music fades. The ep toggles with Darmok between #1 and #2 of all TNG.
