The Inhumans Marvel/IMAX

The characters should still be in play for AoSHIELD's purposes. (Yes, I know: contractual escape clauses and whatnot...)

Sorry to drag up an "old" thread, but Ming Na recently implied the Inhumans was cancelled.

Personally, I'd be disappointed as I think the show could be rehabilitated under a new show runner (why does Scott Buck keep getting work?) Admittedly, they'd need to do some massive PR to get an audience back. I'd like to see what happens to the Attilan Inhumans, and it doesn't look like Agents of SHIELD will be touching that storyline in the near future.
I think the show could get cancelled, I just don't see any reason Ming Na has inside knowledge on this subject.

She is connected to the series via it being a spin off of sorts. And even outside that people do talk and rumors or gossip make the rounds fast.

Inhumans got the short end of the stick when its budget was slashed and ABC had no interest in taking it on in the first place and did everything they could to hinder it (as word has it ABC wanted to cancel Shield but their Disney overlords denied them the choice),

Not really. It's more of an independent project that started as a movie but then got scaled down to a TV series, and that made only the most token reference to what AoS had done with Inhumans while otherwise doing its own independent thing.

Besides, she's just an actress on the show, not a producer or a network executive. She's not in the boardrooms where the decisions about the shows are made; that's not her department. So whatever she may have heard is not likely to be firsthand information.

I didn't love the show, but I thought it had potential if it was retooled rather than scrapped. I liked most of the cast and I thought they could do better if it wasn't so rushed.

From where I sat it had exactly one element that worked well: Blackbolt. And it's no coincidence that the best character on the show was the one with zero dialogue and carried entirely by the actor's performance.
Literally everything else IMO was a wright-off from the production design, to the tone, pacing, casting, writing and even the music choices. Medusa *almost* worked, but a good actress was sabotaged by a writer that seemed determined to make her come across as almost entirely unlikable.

The worst offender is probably Crystal. I don't want to harp on this one too much since it would be very unfair to an actress who clearly didn't have the experience to even try and elevate the admittedly extremely weak material. She seemed to me very much like a soap opera actor not ready from prime time. Not even third rate prime time like this show unfortunately. Everyone else was just varying degrees of bland and boring.

I can't remember the last time I was so bored by a TV show that I found myself fast forwarding though most of the episode and yet oddly didn't feel like I'd missed much of substance.
