The Inhumans Marvel/IMAX

Lockjaw looks like fun, although his tuning fork seems to be missing. The guy playing Maximus is underwhelming. And Medusa's hair just sits there.

io9 is shitting all over this but I think this first look is ok and looks like it could be an enjoyable series.

MInd you I know next to nothing about the Inhumans.

Eh. A combination of being indifferent to Inhumans (my knowledge only extends to Agents of SHIELD) and this bland trailer, I'm probably going to give it a pass, unless the reviews are strong which seems unlikely.

Also, the promotion is coming off way too strong with the whole "astonishing new saga!" Bleah.

I think it looks like there might be potential, but the casting and direction seems... questionable. Black Bolt was always going to be a difficult character to bring to life, but this guy doesn't seem to have any presence at all. And the guy from Game of Thrones is undeniably good at playing a horrible person that you can't look away from (as seen on Game of thrones), yet every scene of him in this trailer just seems boring and off somehow. Based on this, I'd say they've probably failed to do much interesting or good with Attilan/Inhuman society. But the Earth based stuff could still be interesting.

You know - I understand they don't want gaudy costumes, but you'd think they would at least stick to similar color schemes (IE Maximus should be wearing some green.)

Meh. I watch AoS on abc.com, even though the streaming quality is sub-Netflix, because I love taking part in the adventure and conversation. This, with zero characters I've yet met and some boring-ass looking sets, I can definitely wait for Netflix.

They expect people to go see this in theaters? In IMAX?

This has (network) TV written all over it, the Netflix shows looked way more cinematic...

That was...whelming. Maybe even a little underwhelming. I don't think I'll be watching this, but I'll wait for initial reviews to make a decision. I really liked Agents of SHIELD, and this is obviously not AoS in the slightest, which is interesting in itself, but the execution so far doesn't look on par with SHIELD, even comparing my initial reactions to AoS.

Looks fine. The acting honestly seemed like the biggest concern, although budget is a concern as well. With both, it's hard to get a huge glimpse of anything much given how choppy it is. I would imagine any concerns I have with Iwan Rheon are misplaced overall.

That looks terrible. They need to stop production now because it's going to die a swift death and they're just throwing money away at this point.

^ You know they've filmed the entire season already, right?

Just to be clear: Lockjaw is the *only* reason I'm going to check this out at all at this point.
In an ideal world, this show would be called 'The Adventures of Lockjaw: And I Guess Some Inhumans Too, But Not The Boring Silent One'

Ah, I see. The "tuning fork" has been reinterpreted as a marking on his skin rather than a protruding antenna-like thing.

And he's cuter than he usually looks in the comics I've seen -- maybe they're taking a cue from his Ms. Marvel appearances.

I gotta admit -- I'm not a dog person, but I already really like this Lockjaw.

I think they should've cast a deaf actor as Black Bolt, someone who's used to performing with body language and sign language rather than the spoken word. Or at least someone who's trained in mime, dance, or some similar nonverbal performance, someone like Doug Jones or Andy Serkis (not them specifically, but someone with comparable skills).
