"The Incredible Hulk" (2008, Edward Norton)

I still think they haven't made the perfect Hulk movie yet. I agree that the second film suffers from the edits and does have a sort of empty soul.

I almost think if you could somehow combine the first two movies, you'd have a pretty damn close to perfect Hulk movie.

I would counter that it's not flawed enough to produce a monthly comic for over 40 years
You're right of course, but I'd say that one of the reasons it's been so enduring is the superhero comics' rather bizarre belief that a good premise can survive indefinitely.

True, they're definitely not known for change that's for sure. At the same time, it's still selling (Hulk last month was the #8 most sold single issue of any comic sold for the month according to Diamond, the company the sells most comics on the market these days.)

I wouldn't say there's no change in the comics. There's been many Hulk incarnations, with four being prominent-Banner, the Savage Hulk, The Grey Hulk (Or Joe Fixit) and the Merged/Hulk, Professor. Granted, Fixit and Merged are really mostly Peter David's work of expertise, though. The Savage Hulk is the best known, but honestly, he hasn't been in the comic that much since the 70s (Even Loeb has started using the other incarnations).
