River's grave on Trenzalore is a fake that leads to a secret tunnel into the giant TARDIS. It's not a stretch that the TARDIS itself might have created it, knowing an earlier version of the Doctor would need it.

And as I recall they still came in though the front door.:cardie:

Wouldn't it be weird if the Doctor decide to go back to his older faces just so he could spend more time with River. She only knows those faces, but he could throw her off by being one of those faces later in his life.

Would it be one of the "old favourites"?

Yes. Yes it would be. It be funny if it was the Tenth Doctor's face, and he had a mound of adventures with River Song...just it wasn't the "Tenth Doctor". So that when she sees him at the Library, and he doesn't know her, and its hurts so much, it is because they did get along well for a long time, and never gave a hint to her that he wasn't "10" the while time he was with her. He was more like "16" or something.

I wonder if she's stolen his TARDIS in all his incarnations? Aside from maybe his UNIT days when the TARDIS was having issues due to him messing with it without any knowledge of how it worked. Though she still might have stolen it from UNIT, since she does know how it works...mostly. Getting into UNIT might have been the tricky part.
I love this idea! Maybe BF can make a slight connection between season 2 of River's Diary and one of Doctors 5-7 stories, where the TARDIS does go off missing for one crucial moment that leads to the adventure of the thing, only to be uncovered by River later on that she had taken the TARDIS to go off someplace or whatnot and then return it to its place.
Perhaps even one or more of the times he believed it dematerialized due to the Enemy Detection System or when he, Harry and SarahJane had to wait for it to catch up to them early in Four's run, after Genesis of the Daleks.

Now that Series 9 has definitely finished (we are seven days past the broadcast of the last episode). I have gone through the polls on all of this year's Grade and Discussion threads to see which episode was the most popular on this forum.

Heaven +0.58
Familiar +0.51
Apprentice +0.43
Lake +0.38
Inversion +0.23
Hell +0.19
Husbands +0.14
Raven +0.09
Flood +0.04
Lived -0.25
Died -0.28
Invasion -0.48
Sleep -1.58

For those who want to know the methodology:

Each poll option was assigned a number (the top being 5 and the bottom being 1).

For every episode, I calculated a mean score by multiplying the option's number by how many votes it received, then dividing the result by that episode's total turnout.

I then averaged all of those mean scores together to create a mean of means which I subtracted from each individual mean score.

I noticed that the scores for a lot of episodes were like upside-down triangles - biggest at the top and slimming to the bottom. Sleep No More was the only one to have the opposite result.

I have noticed this before and will re-affirm here - A lot of episodes had mediocre or negative polls in the first day or so after broadcast, but then had the top ranks swelled to bursting point by the time the next episode aired. That suggested to me that there were a great number of people on this forum who would always vote Excellent/Loved It/Attack Eyebrows (but do so at a leisurely pace).

For some reason, Sleep No More was the only one where they didn't. (For the record, I didn't like it either, but I never thought it was a Threshold-level disaster as this polling would seem to imply!)

Very good. I enjoyed but ended up having a bit of a cry at the end.

I was in hospital on Christmas Eve getting another cancer check. This one was all clear thankfully (my last one wasn't) but I was left with no emotional defence for the end of the episode.

If this was River's last episode I think it was better than Clara's.

I'm glad you got an all-clear and hope it continues. :techman:

Thanks man

I nice Christmas episode.

Better than "Last Christmas", "The Doctor The Witch and the Wardrobe", "The Christmas Invasion", and the "Snowmen", that's for sure.

I liked "The Christmas Invasion" but OMG "Last Christmas" was that the one with the dream crabs? Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was on the same level as the sleep monster episode. Terrible.

Goes to show everyone has a different opinion. I thought "Last Christmas" and "Flatline" were the only good episodes of series 8, and I think it's the second best Christmas episode after "A Christmas Carol."

Flatline was bloody brilliant. It could have been made tons more scary but it was still effective.

I have sold all my Dr who from seaons 1 to 7 as I loved season 8 onwards.

I disagree with the majority of this statement.

Which parts?! I have to know!

Granted, it took me watching it a couple times to really appreciate it, but I absolutely love "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe," especially the end where the Doctor shows up at Amy and Rory's house for Christmas dinner. I balled during that scene when it originally aired.

And I think "The Snowmen" is a fantastic story and a great reintroduction to the series after Amy and Rory's departure. Jenna Coleman is fantastic.

I'll have to watch "The Husbands of River Song" again to be sure, but right now I rank it somewhere in the middle.
