The Happy Newyear thread

So there's only 5 hours difference from EST now? It seems to me when I went over in December (in '92) that it was 6 hours difference? (the jet lag made it seem more!)

Spending time with me makes the hours fly by. ;)

(Seriously, yes, the time difference is 5 hours at the moment)

Ha! We're drinkin' booze and eating foodz and for some reason just put my new STV:TFF in the DVD.

Bye 2008 - you rocked!! Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! :)

We have sipped some bubblies and eaten a wonderful meal
Ovenbaked filled porkfile (mozarella, onion, sundriedtomatoes, garlicsoftspread, crispy bacon and fresh basil) held together and wrapped up in bacon.. baked together with a sauce (it cooked with the meat, and had creme fraiche, whipped cream, bullion, onion, garlic, tomatoepaste, salt and pepper and soysauce). Served with hasselbacks potatoes and green beans with garlicbutter for those who wanted it.

Oh and home-made bountys.

Happy New Year!

2009. Can't believe it's 2009. I was just thinking that we have the 20 -yes, TWENTY - year anniversaries of these events to look forward to this year:

- the end of the war in Afghanistan (no, the other one)
- the famous hoax "discovery" of cold fusion
- Tiananmen Square
- Arsenal beating Liverpool to win the old First Division title, with a goal in the last minute of the game of the season.
- The start of the end of the Iron Curtain
- the first full episode of the Simpsons aired

All will be 20 years old, during 2009!

We don't have a temperature up here either. Happy New Year :)

I'll join you, on one condition: play another movie. :p

I will join you too... but I don't mind the movie!

Happy New Year everyone! May joy and innocence prevail! If anyone needs me for a champagne toast or a some midnight smooching, I will be over here playing with Wall-E and Mr. Potatohead.

I'd watch TFF, too.

And there is a Stooges Marathon tonight. Thank you, Channel 38. :bolian:

Happiest of New Years to everyone!

Our new years plans were abruptly cancelled for a helluva reason --- I recently found out my wife is pregnant with our 2nd child!

Yay me!!!

WOOT!

Welcome to 2009, everyone. :bolian:

Now I go to bed. :rommie:

And Dick Clark still rocks.
