THE FORCE UNLEASHED - discussion

I'm playing on the hardest level as well.

May I make a few hack and slash suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definately be picking up Ninja Gaiden, the version for Xbox was one of my favorite games for the console, Top 20 easy. Game was hard as hell, but packed with awesome.

Just to add,Conan The Barbarian does have nudity in it.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

The worst thing about this game is all the Starkiller fanboys it's inevitably going to create. Whether or not they end up being as annoying as the Boba Fett fanboys remains to be seen...

My son just got the DS version tonight. He's on level four (and counting) with time off for dinner and homework

He loves it :techman:

^Yeah, the Raxus Prime boss is really, really tough - I found him harder than most of the later bosses, in fact.

I found that you deal the most damage to him by

1. Electrocuting him
2. X, Y, Y immediately afterwards (the move where you charge your lightsaber, swing, then swing up to hurl the enemy through the air.

does quite a bit of damage to him.

I'm having a hell of a time trying to beat that guy now.
I found the easiest way to beat him in the first wave is a"Y" shock then several "B"'s force blast.
It knocks his health down in 3-4 times which triggers the big metal dude that kicks my ass.
The biggest problem with the spider dude is he is so quick it's hard to lock onto him.

When he gets into his position, jump around his throwing stuff at you and just wail on him with lightning. When the junk monster pops up, stay away from the center of the platform, outside where the seats are, that way his stomps and swings don't hit you. Whack him with lightning, which will stun him, then double jump and dash mid-air to get in close, whack him with your saber, than dash out. Rinse repeat until dead.

yeah I was gonna try pretty much that method tonight.
I was up waaay past my bedtime last night.

My pre-ordered copy arrived today, with a free copy of the graphic novel too. Bonus. :D

Trying to bring down the Star Destroyer now. UGH. Frustrating.

Took me 30 minutes to get it down. I'm talkin 30 minutes of the same life, killing at least 8 waves of Tie Fighters. I took my that long in a single try to actually get it to come down.

Well, in 7 hours of playing (over one day) my son has beat the ds version

Now he's gotta beat it the other way to get the other robes :p

I had read briefly about it before I did it: you don't need to move the sticks up and down, just hold them down and it will work much faster.

I went to check on who the voice cast is at IMDB and I guess they actually digitized their appearances as well which I didn't realize.

I've only just started playing but I didn't realize this was in the GOW mold either, I bought it kind of blind on impulse which is stupid because there's a demo out there. I'd kinda gotten my fill recently with Conan (which is a lot of fun as mentioned above) but oh, well, live and learn.

Ya, once you're signaled, just hold em back, my problem was that as soon as i got it straight, it would just drift left again. I contemplated making sure my calibration on my thumbstick was right, but eventually it lined up.

Does anyone know where the special robes are on kayshyyk are? The Aliar ones or something, the ones the dude's father wears. I know they're on that planet, or at least pretty sure, but I can't find them

Well I beat the red faced chick last night and got a little past were you free the wookies.
I didn't have to bump down a level so I'll unlock the harder level at the end of the game.
I can see myself starting another game after I beat it.
Especially since you get to keep all your force upgrades.
Plus I still have a few of those cube thinggies to find. On one level I got 14 of 15, uggh!! that one will probably be hard to find.

All and all I'm having a good time with it, It's very addicting. :techman:
