Spoilers The Flash - Season 4

Well that was an episode in the instantly forget it happend catagory. So many logic holes I feel like someone breeched my brain.

Yeah, I did wonder about Frost's casual revelation that there's another meta in Central City with breaching powers.

I do like it that they're departing from the old pattern of all the guest metahumans being bad guys. So far, out of the dozen bus passengers, we've gotten one ruthless murderer, one dimwitted opportunist who's not that malevolent, one ethically sketchy but basically decent guy with superhero potential, and one frightened victim who just wants to be left alone.

Blacksmith's abilities seemed magnetic, especially with her bucket of shrapnel, which was so ridiculous. Caitlyn/Frost shouldn't have let her get away, considering she was a wanted criminal that was proved to be difficult to apprehend.

All Frost had to do was freeze the bucket of metal pieces solid to render it useless. But I am sure the effects people really liked the jittery metal chips in a bucket shot.

I should have guessed from the title that this episode would be focused on the female characters. It was nice to see Felicity's guest appearance. I thought Sackoff did a fantastic job as Blacksmith. Danielle Panabaker is one of my favorite actresses on the Flash and Killer Frost is a cool character but honestly, I found Killer Frost a bit underwhelming here. Other than the ice bubble at the end, her powers seemed rather restrained. I know it is part of her character arc right now but I feel like Killer Frost was very subdued in this episode. I think her character needs more flair and needs to really let loose. But maybe the episode was trying to save money so they held back on doing lots of CGI intensive Killer Frost powers? I did like getting more development with Caitlin/Killer Frost's character. It was great to see Team Flash rally around Caitlin and support her.

And is this the first episode in the series with no Flash appearance at all? I think it might. I was kinda expecting the Flash to show up at the end to help stop Blacksmith but I guess that would have defeated the whole theme of this episode. #feminism. So it was interesting that they really did an entire episode with no Flash at all. Bold move. I wonder if the lack of the Flash was for budgetary reasons, to save money, since there will most likely be an expensive CGI fest episode at some point later in the season when the Flash confronts The Thinker.

I guess Killer Frost is on her way to become a hero since she conveniently forgot how powerful she is this episode, and that's a trait that only heroes exhibit! ;)

The Iris/Caitlin interaction highlighted how little attention the writers paid Iris in the previous seasons, she basically had no life outside Barry, and I'm glad that they seem to be working to correct that.

The girls and boys outings were silly and fun and I only wish Rene was there as well, for the girl one, because he's "feminist like that." :D

Katee Sackhoff's accent wasn't half bad right up until she had to say "chick", but I enjoyed her hamming it up for the rest of the episode.
The snake eye meta however is the most useless and least threatening meta ever. The only way he's frightening is maybe if you're afraid of snakes, but it didn't even have a mouth or fangs, just tiny wormy tentacles that could at worst pinch you. So what's up with that?

Oh, and Marvel Comics exist in the Arrowverse, or at least Hulk does. :techman:

My thought on the henchmen are we watching The Flash or Stargate SG-1 here?

I hope this is the end of the Caitlin/Killer Frost split personality crap. I was getting tired of it. For once, I would like to see her use her powers without going "eviiiil".

That episode was massively disappointing. I expect that on Supergirl, not Flash, and the "#Feminism" was cringeworthy to say the least. When I first heard about this episode and how Katee Sackhoff and Emily Bett Rickards were going to be on together, I was thinking the only thing missing was Tatiana Maslany and then my three favorite actresses from the last 12 years could be on the screen together. Watching that, they deserved a whole lot more. I did like Drunk Berry though.

Sackhoff's accent was distracting. Maybe I was just watching thinking Starbuck was on The Flash, which makes me guilty of type-casting.

This teaser for the next episode is positively hilarious!

Well, its good to know that I need to skip next week's episode. It will give me time to work on my tv backlog.

You could work on your snark, then at least these posts might be entertaining.

Its not snark, its a plain statement of fact. I have shows I need to watch, aka a backlog. I refuse to watch anything with fake Ralph Dibny (I deleted this week's episode when I saw him show up at Barry's house, and as a quick aside RALPH DIBNY DOESN'T GO TO STRIP CLUBS) so now I know I don't have to make time for The Flash next week. I might actually have to just drop the show if this insulting pile of crap keeps showing up, which would mean the entire CWDC universe is unwatchable, which I hope doesn't happen. I likeThe Flash when it isn't giving the middle finger to classic DC characters.

Either you're a liar, or you have a terrible sense of priorities, because you could be watching those shows instead of telling people here (who don't give a shit) that you hate the Flash.

Which is it?

Or could it be option 3? Rhymes with doll.
