Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Did you notice the time wraith was wearing a desiccated version of Flash's suit but with wings on the mask instead of the lightning bolts?

Loved the whiteboard entries to remind Barry what was known back then vs. what they know now.

  • No Earth 2
  • No Breaches
  • No Time Travel
  • Dad Still in Prison
  • No Jay Garrick
  • No Suspicion Wells = Reverse Flash
  • No Ronnie/Stine

You know, I'm sure they've shown it before, but this is the first time I can remember seeing Barry write the speed formula used by the comic versions of Johnny and Jesse Quick, 3x2(9yz)4A. It was a complete geek out moment, since I've been a fan of the original Johnny Quick since I first read All Star Squadron years ago, and a fan of Jesse since she first showed up in Justice Society of America (I didn't read her Titans appearances or her first appearance in the 90s JSA mini until later). I know it will never happen, but if they had Jesse Quick, and had her access her speed/flight powers by saying the formula out loud like she does in the comics, it would be amazing.

I was a little disappointed in that episode. I was really hoping for more with Barry and Thawne and I thought the Wraith detracted from the episode a bit. Also I've been really excited for this Flash/Supergirl thing that that never was addressed at all. It was a decent episode but I think I was expecting more and now the show is taking another two week hiatus.

I did like when Barry saw the equations though. It gave me a John Chricton vibe when he was seeing the wormhole equations in Farscape. In fact these storylines are getting very similar, with desperation starting to creep in.

I also liked The Flash kind of using the theme to season four of Orphan Boack in two weeks: "the only way forward is to go back." That got me excited.

Barry get's the equations to upgrade the tachyon drive tonight, that he's wearing in Supergirl the other night.

Seeing it on his chest yesterday I assumed that it was the same Tachyon device Thawne stole from Star Labs/Tina McGee in season one, which it could still be, but it's been over a year, so unless Tina was frightened off by the crazies stealing form her, she's probably made a few more of them since then.

The "original" Tachyon whatever was used to stabilize Firestorm?

Yeah, that sounds right.

Barry's actions were reckless and inconsiderate. It was bad enough he had traveled back in time. It almost seemed like he went out of his way to change things. He confronted his past self. He told Cisco about Hartley's "ear bomb." He roused Wells/Thawne's suspicion, which could have gotten him killed. He was lucky to have come back to the present with very minor disruptions to the original timeline. But anyway, he got out of it in one piece.

I'm surprised there was no reference to the Supergirl episode.

The other half of the Flash/Supergirl crossover is next week.

I agree Gryff, ratting out Hartley's ear bombs was a terrible way to keep the timeline in tact.

He was specifically told NOT to do that.

i think the Time Wraith may have been The Black Flash. though in the comics it has nothing to do with time travel.

I had a crazy thought watching the crossover episode. What if the Flash/Barry Allen we saw isn't the one we know, perhaps from Earth 4? His attitude seemed off. Barry's attitude was...more angry and determined in yesterday's episode.

^Yeah, feels that way.

Anyway, No. I don't think my idea from earlier works. I'm guessing the crossover episode was written and/or made after last night's Flash episode (and possible the next couple episodes).
