Thanks for clarifying that Christopher. I forgot that it was a later episode than I thought. I remember when I read that thinking it was odd it would be so much later. I am assuming its because when it would fit best storywise for the Flash.
I would be fascinated to see a combined production schedule for all four series. The Supergirl crossover was filmed only about a month before it will air. Which is much sooner than normal for network television. I imagine partially due to the need to fit it into Grant Gustin's schedule on his own show. Unlike appearing on Arrow, which almost literally shoots next door in Vancouver, he had to fly to Los Angeles to do Supergirl for over a week.
Recently director Joe Dante appeared on Gilbert Gottfried's podcast. He compared the productions of Arrow/Flash/Legends(plus now Supergirl) to the way the big Studios in the Golden Age of Hollywood worked. When actors were under contract to a single studio. So often they could be seen moving around a single backlot to different films in various stages of production. Similar how many of these actors are going back and forth to different series.
