Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Kinda disappointed with Caitlin so far, I like Danielle Panabaker a lot and so far her(Caitlin) story has been meh. :(

I thought freezing the laser beams was kinda hilarious.

The ultraviolet radiation as an indication of a cold gun in use was also pretty funny, but a lot of what made it funny came from the delivery and phrasing, suggesting a misunderstanding of how much energy is transported by the various parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Actually, though, by removing energy from the things it targets, the cold gun might actually emit massive amounts of thermal radiation when it's used. So that bit of "comic-book science" of ultraviolet radiation indicating the use of a cold gun isn't as outlandish as it might sound on first blush. Whether the authors intended that or not, I won't hazard a guess.

Turning the laser beams into popsicles, if that's what really happened, I dunno, I can't explain that! Maybe that's not what it really did, though; maybe it just *appeared* that way. ;)

You all know they were more likely sensor lasers connected to an alarm like at your local convenience store, rather than cut you in half lasers in a James Bond film, right?

We can sort of combine all these ideas and get streams of acid-laced Kool-Aid, as an alternate way of slicing you in half.

If we called it "Electric Kool-Aid," by a different kind of acid, we'd practically be right back where we started, by a different kind of electric. ;)

I really liked this episode. I'm a big fan of the Snark siblings, and I enjoyed getting learn a bit more about them. I get a big kick out of the relationship that is building up between Captain Cold and Flash, and the one between Lisa and Cisco.
The freezing lazers thing was ridiculous, but at least it looked cool.

They were looking for a guy to merge with Stein and they found one.

Now we've got our new Firestorm. I'll miss the classic pair-up.

And that shark guy is the weirdest thing I've seen in the Arrowverse so far.

This episode was great. The story was good, the new Firestorm seems cool, and seeing King Shark blew my mind. I just love how much The Flash has embraced its comic book origins. They're not afraid to do stuff like time travel stories, parallel universes, or talking shark men. Its a big difference from a lot of the shows of the past, where the superhero shows were sometimes made by people who outright hated the comics (like the guy in charge of The Incredible Hulk) or were shows that just had the hero fighting the bland, generic street criminals with a few random "mad science" characters thrown in (90% of the 90's Flash show was like that).

I can't wait to see Barry with the Earth 2 Harrison Wells next week. It should be very interesting.

I didn't care for the Francine subplot at all. The "final dying wish" plot device has been overused. And how selfish of her to show up when she had only a few months to live. Of course, had she been healthy, she wouldn't give two shits about finding Joe and Iris and seeking reconciliation.

I'm surprised they didn't use Jason Rusch as the other half of Firestorm. His background is similar to Jackson anyway.

King Shark looked great though his appearance was rather shortlived.

Jason was in an earlier episode but he isn't pretty enough to be on TV every week.

"McGreggor's Syndrome"

So, Nora Freeze was a... Fuck me, Alfred Pennyworth was a junkie!?

That has to be an underhanded slight against Gotham, right?

So Wally will be Iris' brother and the tables have finally turned where she's keeping a secret from Joe to protect him. This family just can't function unless there's a huge secret floating between them.

The King Shark ending was a nice surprise.
