Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Producer Andrew Kreisberg already replied to Alex Desert -

"You're always on my mind, Julio!"

Which is a great sign.

Kreisberg attended a reunion of some of the cast and crew for the 1990 series earlier this year. He said they planned to have more of the cast appear. So its not a surprise they want Alex Desert to appear at some point. The surprise to me was there had been no official communication.

John Wesley Shipp has said the producers want Danny Bilson and Paul De Meo to write an episode of this current series. They were the producers of his series. Strange thing though is that Danny Bilson, who has been very hopeful for this, had not been contacted by the producers. Of course that was months ago. By now that could have changed.

This might be a similar situation. With all the different story lines on all their various shows they do not make an offer until shortly before filming. Vito D'Ambrosio who played Officer Bellows in the 1990 series messaged me that he was not contacted about playing Mayor Bellows for the first time until a few days before filming.

Really liked tonight's episode even though isn't this two weeks in a row Stein has Collapsed. Hopefully that doesn't become a trend. Really like the fleshing out of Lisa's character and Snart (Captain Cold) is always fun.

I really hope we get more Harrison Wells in the next few episodes. Hate to just see Cavenagh only appear at the end.

Looks like they're prepping Captain Cold for his role in Legends of Tomorrow.

I'm only familiar with what goes on in The Flash (Meaning, I don't watch Arrow), but this seemed to be what the episode was leading towards. I might try Legends of Tomorrow, but it's yet another show to follow. It's starting to fill up.

It's all prelude to replacing Ronnie. Which based on the previews for next week, should be the next episode.

I enjoyed this episode. The Cold Family stuff isn't as interesting as the Earth 2 stuff, but it was still entertaining. The Iris family stuff was also interesting, but I hope it doesn't take up too much time. I'm definitely interested to see what happens with the Earth 2 Wells, hopefully it will be part of next week's episode and not dragged out.

I am so used to the Lance family drama that it was a bit unexpected how fast the Wests dealed with this issue once it came up.
They are like the Anti-Lances!

I assume the introduction of Mrs. West will lead to the introduction of Wally West.

Wally her secret brother maybe, but Wally Iris' nephew couldn't be older 7, and that using some weird numbers to make the child that old... Although if mum was already pregnant with another one of Joe's kids when she was pushed out of Westlife, that would help the numbers.

Oh.

The wife is there because Wally needs a kidney and she thinks Iris will be a good donor?

:)

Barry winds up handing over a (liver transplant is less detrimental. Livers grow back.) kidney, and Wally gets super speed.

Hells, bone marrow to fight cancer would do it.

Oh.

Superspeed = super ageing (If you do it wrong. REALLY wrong.).

Which is what happened to Impulse in the beginning.

So we could have an annoying 5 year old kid Emmanuel Lewis wannabe, blink blink and suddenly he's a good looking piece of 17 year old Teen Idol, heartthrob, hawt, jailbait with bumps all over his body (muscles, I mean muscles.).

Unless Francine was pregnant when she left Joe and Iris.

50/50?

Creating a relationship that you want to intentionally have children in, rather than a relationship that is built up quickly around an accidental pregnancy, does take a while.

Finding a guy = 3 years

+

Testing a guy to see if he's really, really not a dick = 2 years.

+

Admitting that your life is over and you can't ruin it worse by adding children = 4 years.

+

Trying to get pregnant (if it's easy) = 2 years.

+

The actual pregnancy 9 months.

=

12 years almost.

...

Iris is 23?

So Wally who is not Joe's son, is 11 years old, give or take.

Wally who is Joe's son, is 22.

That's all very complicated. She was a drug addict. Maybe she just got herself knocked up a few years later.

They really should have ended the episode with Snart saying something like, "No prison can hold me."

How old is the actor that they cast as Wally West? He looks like he could pass for a teen-ager, so they may go the full-sibling route.

Didn't care much that Flash needed a special suit upgrade to escape the cold blast at the beginning instead of using his powers. Other than that I enjoyed it. Glad they moved the West plot forward quickly instead of dragging it out.

Keiynan Lonsdale, Date of birth: December 19, 1991 (age 23 years).

:)

Have you seen Switched at Birth (preachy, but amusing.)? The poor Hispanic solo mum living in the ghetto, figured out that she had the wrong kid 12 years before the rich white family living in a mansion did. So much drama when that gem came to light. Regina's almost logical and sound reasoning for keeping this secret, for raising the wrong baby, who she loved completely, allowing the switch to continue, was that whitey's $2000 an hour lawyers were going to take both the kids, leaving the poor solo mum alone and childless.

Joe would have taken Wally immediately seconds after his boys existence became known to him, if that is, he is Joe's kid.

1/2 brother = less drama.

Oh?

We want drama?

What if Francine met a guy in a bar, had a fun time in the toilet block, and nine months later pushed out Eobard Thawne Jr in all but name?

That would give "Wally" a connection to the speed force without having something contrived happen with Barry.

Oh my.

Can you imagine the "You fucked my wife?" conversation Joe is going start next time he sees Thawne?

This is a network that cut its superhero chops on casting a 24-year-old as a 15-year-old.

Heck, they were doing that in the '50s. Jack Larson was 24 when he started playing the teenaged Jimmy Olsen in Adventures of Superman -- and as you may recall, there was an episode called "The Boy Who Hated Superman" in which the titular "boy" was played by a 29-year-old actor. Burt Ward was 21 when he started playing Robin, but Robin wasn't old enough to drive until the third season, so the character must've been around 14 when the series started.
