Yeah, working on it. It talked to a tech guy from Compaq's support, they said that the LCD will need to be replaced. Anyway...I gotta figure out where's the closest Compaq store around here.

Well, I need to get the bill and the warranty faxed here, cos the smartass that I am, I left it at home. So I should have that tomorrow and then I can drop off the PC at FutureShop. Hopefully it won't take longer then a week or so for the PC to get fixed. That is, if they have the LCD needed for my laptop on stock, otherwise I'm gonna be without it for even longer.

Days like these, I wish I wasn't this dependent on PCs. I mean, all of my work is on it. And while I have it backed up, I still have a stuff on it that I wanna use and can't.

Well, maybe Compaq will be able to get you sorted out quickly, and you will be back up and running soon!

In the meantime, I assume you must have a desktop as well...hopefully that will hold you for the moment!

Well, they have to send the laptop to Vancouver. There, they're gonna see if they need to replace the LCD or not. If yes, hopefully they'll have it in stock. Otherwise they're gonna have to wait for it to be sent to them. And no, I don't have a desktop. I sold it and bought the laptop before I moved to Canada. Right now I'm using my girlfriends PC. The small bright side to all this, is that there was a slight defect in my LCD (basically a part of it, a circle with a diameter of about 2cm was darker then the rest of the screen), so if they do replace the LCD that should be fixed. Either way, I feel a little better at the moment. I'm just one of those people that get attached to their PC and find it really hard to have to be without one. I'd have no problem with it, if it was my choice, like if I'd go on a trip or something. But I really need it for school, especially cos of the fact that we have finals next week. Tomorrow is the last day of classes in this quarter, which is useful. It's gonna be very busy, cos I'm gonna have to demo a couple of labs and we're doing a presentation of our business plan in business 195 aswell. Anyway, I'm gonna stop rambling now.

Has anyone received thier $20 (Or Canadian 25) rebate yet? I know it's been more than 8 weeks, and every day I check the mail, and every day it's not there. I've checked Rebatestatus.com and earlier this week they took my name of the list. I'm a little ticked that it's not here yet.

Does anyone still have the phone number to contact whoever is in charge of this rebate promotion. I didn't have to wait this long last year with TNG.

I haven't received my coupon in yet, though it's probably been about...5 weeks since I sent it in, so I'm not complaining.

Anyway, they told me it will take 3 to 4 weeks to fix my PC, cos they have to send it to Ontario. Ugh...this is gonna be a long month.

Anyway, today was our last day of classes in this quarter, so that's cool. I got finals next week and then I got a week off. I demoed two labs today, and we did our business presentation. Everything went great and the teacher was really impressed with our presentation. So yeah, all is good, at least at school.

Well I finished S1 of Stargate today. I also watched 2x01, man that was fun. The last couple of eps have been just amazing. So what's everyone else been up to?

^ Yeah...the ending to season 1 and the beginning of season 2 *are* very good episodes. I like those alot!

I went out and spent a ton of money at Media Play tonight cus it was triple points. Reserved about 6 things cus you got 2,000 bonus points for each reservation.

So I will have a busy next month-and-a-half, picking stuff up! I reserved Babylon 5 season 5, Buffy season 6, The Matrix Revolutions, Voyager season 2, Farscape 4.3, Sex & the City season 6....

Yep...busy month indeed!

 

[DS9 Fan 2]

^I'm still working on collecting the DS9 DVDs. I still have yet to collect the three best seasons of the show: 5,6,7. I've been getting them at a rate of about 1 set every three months(I'm thrifty), so I'm hoping by the end of the year I'll have the whole series. (And by then there will be 17 seasons of TNG, TOS, and VGR to collect, in that order). It'll be 5 years by the time I'm done collecting all of that, and I still won't own all of the movies. Then Enterprise will most likely be released on DVD. Anyone else feeling swamped by all of this?

BTW how do you get the rebate for the DS9 sets?
