The Rangers seem like perfect spin-off fodder- galactic do-gooders without the uniforms.

They're already more compelling than Section 31.

Would Blakes Seven minus any real edge fly with most Star Trek fans, though? Probably. A this point it seems there's a concentrated group that will take anything but a Section 31 series.

Rangers is definitely a basis for a show. A bit of Equalizer, A-Team, maybe a little Mission Impossible aspect too. Id rather a mixed bag of Ex Sect 31, Obsidian Order and Tal Shiar, regular military and others working together than a Sect 31 show IMO. I could see lots of Scooby Gang possibilities. Some appearances by Garek, Quark and others that are story relevant.
