Ahem. I don't think so. I can see your signature right on the dotted line here, Faust.
Interesting that he really loved the villain in this. As much as I love the REST of the movie, Nero is the one element that still isn't working for me.
He just seems too thinly developed, and I have trouble buying his vendetta against Vulcan and the Federation (yeah his family and planet were destroyed, but it was by an act of nature-- not some sinister plot by the Federation).
People faced with inexplicable tragedy often need to find someone to blame - however irrational that may seem.

True, in that first, initial stage. But usually (especially after 25 years) calmer heads prevail and people are able to see things a bit more clearly.
The fact Nero was still acting like his planet was destroyed 5 minutes ago just didn't feel genuine to me.
A telling point.yes and Abrams will be by for your soul around the time the sequel comes outAhem. I don't think so. I can see your signature right on the dotted line here, Faust.

I too would have loved more detail about Nero, but I don't have a problem that he has become fixated on the idea of "saving" Romulus by destroying the Federation.
SPOCK: My ancestors are barbarians. Warlike barbarians.
MCCOY: Who nearly killed themselves off with their own passions.
