For the Labor Day Weekend, and Expendables 4th in release, it finished strong. Just out of the top 5 placing at #6 for the 4-Day Weekend with another $8.3m to its tally. Bringing the 80's homage flick to a US domestic total of $93.8 million.
Worldwide it's nearly matched the US domestic total hauling in $90m for a cumulative total of $183.8 million.
I didn't see it but I guess Sly had a large enough role in Spy Kids 3-D to not be considered just a cameo. That is the next milestone for The Expendables to cross in unadjusted dollars. Spy Kids 3 made $111million. The Expendables has a fair chance to surpass that which would make it Sly's 5th highest grossing movie.
I'm already looking forward to how the sequel casting starts shaping up!

Sly's part in Spy Kids 3D was more than just a cameo but it was still really only a supporting role. SK3D shouldn't be considered a hurtle for Expendables to overcome because it isn't a Stallone picture. It's part of the Spy Kids franchise.

I enjoyed the film...it was really good. I didnt like how they were trying to I dk down size Jet Li's character.

I didnt know if the word was right for the action of what they were trying to do. That's why I said I dk 'down size'.

Saw it tonight (amazed that our fleapit got it, actually) and it was fucking brilliant. Not as funny as The A Team, but a good laugh all the same, great fights and explosions - this is how an action movie should be.
