Heh ... and I though sucking would be one of the things the series was actually good at.

I'm going to wait and see this Monday's Fall Finale episode and then I'll decide if I'll try to stick with it or drop it a la "V", Caprica and FlashForward.
The first two episodes were awful but I tend to give a serialized mythology show a good 10 episodes to let things develop--The Event seemed to correct itself from the third episode up until the last two which veered right back to mediocre crap and incorporated the very elements I disliked in the first two episodes--tired action movie plots/sequences, illogical character actions, silly storylines etc. Up until then I sorta enjoyed it and I'm willing to overlook certain plot contrivances in the short term(i.e. The Xindi sending a test weapon to attack Earth thereby alerting them to the threat) if it leads to an overall interesting story.

I watched the Pilot episode for about ten minutes and then hit delete on the DVR.
You didn't allow enough time for all the suck to settle in.
I watched the first 3 episodes, and then gave up on it. Just didn't grab me.
