The Down Under Lounge

it's possible that could have been some sort of abreviation that sounds like tweak when pronounced.

or maybe it's a new term that's come out in the past 16 years because it's not one I know.

Can you recall who the player was? a web search might give an answer without resulting in NSFW results.
I missed the name of the person to whom reference was being made but I was under the impression that it was another commentator. I assumed it was like saying someone was skiving or gold bricking but, as I didn't know, I thought I'd look it up.

I considered the possibility that I had misheard. If only I'd noted the time at which I'd heard it, I could go back and listen but the game was not so fascinating that I want to listen to the whole thing again...

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply.

I've decided SBS is the superior TV station. Commercial stations are rubbish bar the odd programme, and ABC has dropped the ball due to political interference. SBS shows stuff the others won't and a broad cultural experience. And their news informs you so much better of what's going on in the wider world. And only Australia could come up with a channel like it.

SBS has always been better than the commercial networks. Even news on SBS is better in terms of stories and such.

The ABC has been hacked at by both sides of government when it suits them.

After my last brush with what I thought was Australian slang on cricket commentary, I was a bit worried about the thought of looking up "pokies" which definitely sounds as though it could be misinterpreted. As it turned out, looking up "pokies" at the ground concerned gave me the answer without any problems.

:)
