"The Doomsday Machine" Line-by-Line

Spock: We can't Captain, transporter is out again. Mr. Scott, 20 seconds to detonation. Mr Scott? Mr. Scott, try inverse phasing.

(Lucky me, I get Sulu and his annoying fascination for time pieces again)

[Bridge]
SULU: Ten...
[Constellation Auxiliary Control]

(over comm): Nine, eight...
[Jefferies tube]
(over comm): Seven...

Sulu: Six, Five, Four...

Constellation enters the Planet Killer

Kyle Frantically tries to beam Kirk out

The Constellation explodes within the Planet Killer destroying it from the inside.

Kirk runs out of Transporter Room

Spock and Sulu scan Planet Killer on the Bridge

Spock: Energy output: Zero. Radiation Level: Normal.

Kirk runs into the Bridge

Spock: Welcome aboard Captain. Sensors show all power sources deactivated. It's quite dead.

KIRK: Mister Sulu, ease us back to minimum headway. Conserve power as much as possible. Lieutenant Palmer, tell Mister Scott to expedite repairs on the warp drive. Poor Matt. He gave his life in an attempt to save others. Not the worst way to go.

Spock: Indeed, captain. I presume your log will show that Commodore Decker died in the line of duty...

Kirk: Indeed it shall, Mister Spock. Ironic isn't it? Way back in the 20th Century, the H-Bomb was their ultimate weapon, their Doomsday Machine, and we used something like it to destroy another Doomsday Machine. Probably the first time such a device has been used for constructive purposes.

SPOCK: Appropriate, Captain. However, I can't help wondering if there are any more of those weapons wandering around the universe.
