"The Doomsday Machine" Line-by-Line

Kirk: I'm plotting an intercept course. Will rendezvous with you at fourteen thirteen point seven hours.

(As Enterprise and Constellation head toward each other, in the Enterprise hangar bay, a shuttlecraft begins launch)

Sulu: Mr. Spock, someone's opened the shuttlecraft bay doors.

Kirk (seeing the shuttle launching from the Enterprise): Kirk to Enterprise. Why are you launching a shuttlecraft?

Palmer: Enterprise to Shuttlecraft. Come in Shuttlecraft. Enterprise to Shuttlecraft. Come in Shuttlecraft. Come in Shuttlecraft.

DECKER: You said it yourself, Spock. There is no way to blast through the hull of that machine, so I'm going to take this thing right down its throat.

Decker: A commander is responsible for the lives of his crew. And for their deaths. Well, I should have died with mine.

Enterprise

Spock: You cannot succeed Commodore. Your only logical alternative is to return to the ship.

Kirk: Matt. Matt, listen to me. You can't throw your life away like this.

(Shuttle gets ever closer to the object.)

Matt, you're a starship commander. That makes you a valuable commodity.

(via comm) We need you. Your experience. Your judgement. Matt!! We're stronger with you than without you.

(Shuttle flies into the object and is destroyed - Kirk closes communicator.)

[Enterprise Bridge]

SPOCK: Sir, may I offer my condolences on the death of your friend. It is most regrettable.
