News The Disney+ (The New Streaming Service) Thread

Early Sesame Street Kermit’s voice was slower delivery and deeper. That is closest comparison to Matt Vogel’s take I can recall.

My mom and I tried to watch Hamilton this morning, but it's almost impossible to understand the chorus with my TV's shitty speakers on the back. It's usually OK, but anytime you get more than two or three people singing at once, you can't understand a word they are singing. We'll probably try again another time with the subtitles on.

My wife and I watched last night. We saw it previously on tour a few years back. So good. But yes, a good sound system does live theater recordings wonders.

There are actually quite a few out there. I think it's free anywhere, but there's a real good one of The Phantom of the Opera that was on Netflix for a while. Disney+ also has a recorded live performance of the Newsies musical, and I've also seen ones for Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma with Hugh Jackman and a few others.
If you are in the US and you get PBS, they have a series, Great Performances, that is made up entirely of opera, ballet, and Broadway musical performances.

X-Men Days of Future Past is the first Fox X-Men movie to stream on Disney+.

I also saw Solo: A Star Wars story, which I last remember being on Netflix. So that deal must have expired.

I think The Incredibles 2 is the last, or at least one of the last, Disney movies still on Netflix.

They might have been ones with an old contract that prevented them from adding them before now in the US. It wasn't any of the streaming services, but apparently some of the TV deals also affected the streaming services. I think they had been on FX and/or FXX, so that might have been it.

I haven't looked but are they going to make "The Rogue Cut" available, too? I know I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer that version (although I get why others don't).

I watched Days of Future Past for the first time since I saw in theaters, and I still loved it. It's definitely one of my favorite X-Men movies.

They're not on Disney+ in the US, so they didn't here.
If they are being that paranoid, I'm shocked they didn't censor the shots of Mystiques bare blue ass.
The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that Splash is PG and DoFPT is PG-13. But then again they have shown asses in some of their PG animated movies, I think there's a scene where some of the characters moon another group in Brave, and I think at least one or two other animated Disney or Pixar movies show bare asses.

They censored the other ones?
I read that CGI hair was added to cover up some parts in 'Splash'. Had no idea they were doing any of that. Also read that they took a few F words out of Hamilton.

That actually really surprised me. I never expected to see Hugh Jackman's naked butt on Disney plus.
Maybe this is part of disney's negotiation to get him back into marvel or they consider his butt too pure to sensor.
