Ryan Reynolds has just posted this on his twitter account. Bring it on! "Draw me like one of your French girls..."
I thought nobody liked Ryan Reynolds getting mixed up in superhero movies? Now there's "anticipation"?
He was fine as Hal Jordan, it was almost everything else about that movie that was wrong. (Except for Mark Strong, who was the best part.)
Total coolness! ETA: I will say Deadpool is one of those properties that has to be done right unlike major comic book characters like Batman or Superman which will always get done over and over.
Which animated GL was based on Ryan Reynolds? EDIT: My only familiarity with Deadpool comes from the LEGO Marvel game, and Wolverine vs. Hulk, so my interest in this mainly comes from seeing how excited the rest of the comic book community seems to be.
I have some familiarity, but nothing to specific. So I'm mostly in the same boat. But the fact that they're making this and trying to do it right just makes me want to support it.
Yeah I'm only familiar with him through the 'Hulk Vs' animated movie and some clips from the video game a few years back. Made a good impression though. Here's hoping Marvel are willing to make this an 18, not some watered down PG or 12A. So far they've already shown a willingness to expand into other cinematic genres with Winter Soldier & GotG; Deadpool would be the perfect character to try for the comedy and the action/horror markets.
I literally am in tears from laughter right now after seeing this : [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5TB0pKLj0Y[/yt] Please don't fuck this up, please don't (but if that short skit is anything to go by it could be one hell of a movie!)
I'm glad Ryan Reynolds is getting the chance to redeem himself from the Green Lantern and Wolverine movies.
You forgot Blade Trinity. And yes, that was an awesome video. I'm getting my hopes up for this movie.
That was great. After the costume reveal and this video, I'm starting to think they've already got a pretty good handle on the character.
