The Dauphin--am I insane!?!

I was just watching "The Dauphin" on DVD, and the thing that I always liked about the episode was the bits of advice about talking to women that Wesley gets from various crewmembers. Worf's was always my favorite, though the scene between Riker and Guinan is also great. But I was scandalized (and distracted from the rest of the episode) to discover that a brief exchange between Wesley and Picard was missing! Here's how I remember it playing out (in inexact quotes). Wesley tries to approach Picard. Picard cuts him off, saying, "Yes, I understand that you've been asking for advice about women. When I have some, I'll let you know." Then he brusquely walks away.

So I thought I'd dust off the ol' VHS copy of the episode to prove that I wasn't imagining things, and to get the exact quote...and it wasn't there either!

Now was this a syndication edit, which somehow made it onto the DVD version? Or am I just imagining things? Somebody please tell me that you remember this scene!

If this scene did exist...are there any others known to be missing from the DVDs?

^^I bought it at Costco in the good ol' U. S. of A. It's the post-markdown set, but I didn't think there would be any content difference.

If it's not too much trouble, could you tell me where the scene occurs according to the time counter and/or what scenes it appears between?

Like I said, I couldn't find it on my VHS copy, either...and that would have been recorded from a syndicated rerun in the early-to-mid-90s.

This line was actually in the episode In Theory. The one where a crewmate falls in love with Data. It's pretty similar to the scenes with Wesley in The Dauphin, but in this one it's Data going around asking the crew about women.

^*Whew!* :o So it was just fuzzy memory, but I wasn't insane...and my DVD set doesn't have reverse-Easter eggs. Thanks bunches!

Good catch, Vasquez. I've been watching the series in one go, so which events happen in which episode can sometimes get fuzzy in my mind. I had a clear memory of the scene, but I forgot the context of it.
