I was just watching "The Dauphin" on DVD, and the thing that I always liked about the episode was the bits of advice about talking to women that Wesley gets from various crewmembers. Worf's was always my favorite, though the scene between Riker and Guinan is also great. But I was scandalized (and distracted from the rest of the episode) to discover that a brief exchange between Wesley and Picard was missing! Here's how I remember it playing out (in inexact quotes). Wesley tries to approach Picard. Picard cuts him off, saying, "Yes, I understand that you've been asking for advice about women. When I have some, I'll let you know." Then he brusquely walks away.
So I thought I'd dust off the ol' VHS copy of the episode to prove that I wasn't imagining things, and to get the exact quote...and it wasn't there either!
Now was this a syndication edit, which somehow made it onto the DVD version? Or am I just imagining things? Somebody please tell me that you remember this scene!
If this scene did exist...are there any others known to be missing from the DVDs?
