The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

I'm looking forward to the film more but I'm still in such a state of euphoria about Avengers I'm likely not being fair to the trailer. Let me get Avengers out of my system some more.
The trailer was good and finally showed more action moments.
I may just not be sold on the theme of the film as well.

I saw the trailer on the big screen with The Avengers and there was no reaction from the crowd. I thought... Maybe they saw it already online. :vulcan:

Same here.:rommie:

I guess The Avengers and TDKR has difference audiences. Avengers is more action packed and kiddy friendly while TDKR won't be, not that there is anythig wrong with that.;)

The theater I was in got clapping for this and Spider-Man.

I've seen the trailer a few times since it was released on the net a little while ago. However, seeing it today on the big screen (before "The Avengers") made it seem utterly fantastic. It's chilling and disturbing. And most encouraging!

Just saw the trailer in front of the Avengers with a fairly full theater, other than one little girl shouting, "Batman!" it got no response at all from the crowd. Heck, the Battleship trailer got more of a reaction, but that trailer was designed as a crowd pleaser, all action and money shots.

The response to The Dark Knight Rises trailer was perfect in my theater. People shushed when it started, were quiet throughout, and applauded at the end.

There weren't really a reaction to the new TDKR trailer, but my audience clapped at the end of Avengers.

When I saw the new TDKR trailer, I was really reminded of Inception. I guess it was all those Inception actors in the new trailer. :rommie:

My midnight crowd, same thing.
The 7:30pm I just came from though, nothing.
I take that to mean the die hards were there midnight, general audiences not quite at the same place yet.

No reaction for Spider-man though at either, which is telling imo, especially the midnight bunch.

Saw AVENGERS yesterday, 3:00 pm showing, lots of trailers -- but no TDKR trailer, sadly. :(

I just got back from The Avengers in Olympia, and the Dark Night Rises trailer played. It looked good on the big screen.

Saw a trailer before The Avengers. There was a scene where a football player catches the ball and runs for the goal line, oblivious to the football field exploding and collapsing behind him, the abyss swallowing his pursuers one by one. He finally stops and looks back, but doesn't drop the football. Very droll, nearly laughed out loud.

The trailer music had the trademark Nolan Batman music going bang, bang, bang. Zimmer is still working on the premise that assaulting the nerves is just as good as evoking emotion.
