The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

I like the teaser, though I wish they didn't use clips from the previous films for so much of it.

Is that guy in the background tied up by his hands? It isn't clear.

2012 is going to be huge. Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Star Trek, James Bond--I usually go to the movies once a year. I will be in the theatre for at least 3 films that I know of in 2012.

I thought I'd be going more than I usually do for this summer, but so far it's just been Thor and Xmen First Class.

I'm the exact opposite. I've watched Thor, Xmen, Transformers (i'm a masochist :)), and Harry Potter. I'm planning to see Captain America and Cowboys & aliens. It's strange because I don't usually watch movies at the theatre.

Batman- I should have stayed home today.
It almost looks like Background Man is recording the fight......maybe so Bane can show Gotham how he broke the Batman?

^ Very nice catch...I didn't even think about that. I could see Bane using disillusion youth and anarchists to broadcast that using social and mass media. That would well be in his methodical approach in breaking the bat.

Perhaps Bruce won't be broken physically but absolutely and utterly mentally? We know Nolan LOVES exploring psychological aspects in his films so maybe we will get a totally different take on "Knightfall".

Finally saw the teaser. It was just that a tease. I didn't see much to get exicted for in there. Not that I'm not excited it just didn't give you much. Some teasers give a bit more than that is all I'm saying. Half of it was old footage.

Wow, so not only do we get the three biggest superheroes on screen in the same year, but a new Trek movie as well? Awesome.

Someone played around with photoshop and got an interesting pic of Bane in his mask:

Looks prety creepy.

Yeah, that is cool. I've finally caught up on the Batman and Bond movies. I had to buy them all to get caught up. I had no interest in seeing Batman Begins because of the reputation of the other Batman movies before it. I wanted to see The Dark Knight in the movie theatres, but I never got a chance to. 2008 was a tumultuous year and I didn't have the money. I haven't been to a Bond movie in the theatres since The World is Not Enough. I cooled on the series after that. I wasn't sure about Daniel Craig, but Casino Royale is one of my favorite Bond features of all-time. Quantum of Solace was okay, but not as good as Royale. Star Trek is a given (and I did see '09 in the theatres). I would go if they had Orion Girls manning the stations of the Enterprise and it was in German.

And, what's more, the conversation that used, the one between Bruce and Alfred, went to the core of what the film was about, and it steered clear from most of the cliches that you see in trailers.

This trailer was full of cliches. The words shown on screen were not much different than almost any teaser traier including (and since) the Phantom Menace, about heroes and their journeys. Gordon's dialogue is simple, pandering and obvious.

Gordon's dialogue with Wayne seemingly goes to the core of what this film is about, so I don't see a big difference.

No argument with that, save for the fact that the dialogue here is more trite, more obvious.

I personally don't think Nolan is going to end his trilogy with a broken bat. I think Bruce will be wrecked emotionally (perhaps by Selina and this Miranda Tate person) and mentality by Bane before realizing that he has to fully embrace the Bat and rise to the challenge. I'm sure the plot will become more clearer with future trailers.
