If you see any movie this summer, I implore you to see 'The Dark Knight'. All the hype, all the insane viral marketing, the two minute trailer, it pales in comparison to sitting through the actual movie. Oh and a quick word to parents, this is not a kids movie, and I would not recommend it for any child under 13 and even that’s pushing it.
This isn't the first time I've seen this in a review. We've pondered how the graphic and dark nature may hurt TDK some...but will it? People seem to let hype overule them so I can see more parents taking kids to TDK who shouldn't be there and thus probably disrupting other moviegoers as well.

I suspect we'll have a Batman Returns effect in that some parents will take their kids to see it because "it's Batman" and then complain that the film was too dark and (how dare those movie people!!!) not appropriate for little kids. They will also claim that the film was not advertised as such.

Well, I got my tickets for the 12:01AM showing on the 17th just before seeing Hellboy II last night when I realized my IMAX tickets were for midnight on the 18th, not the 17th. So now I am going to see the film two times in 24 hours; first at a conventional theater in downtown Chicago and then at IMAX.
I could not be more stoked.
