And yeah, I thought it was a funny bit, 'til I thought about it...and realized a blind guy gettin' the peep show of the 24th century is more ironic than humorous.

Well they did make a point about exactly what Geordi grabbed onto, to steady himself, after he arrived in the shower.

As for Troi, she was out of her mind. I think she banged his brains out and used all her psycho-know how and empathic powers to drag him into ungodly depths of depravity, leaving him a hollow shell of a man afterward. Troi explained what happened and he read the mission report, but the guy needed therapy from one of the other counselors on the ship to recover. They worked fine together after a time.
