The corniest film you inexplicably love

I recently watched a couple of Shatner movies from the 70s, 'The People' and 'Kingdom of the Spiders', and he gives a remarkably restrained performance in both.
I don't think he started becoming 'The Shat' until the 80s, with T.J. Hooker and Rescue 911.

Oooh 'Bachelor Party' - that movie got rented a lot in my household. Back when Tom Hanks was still goofy.

How about, 'Night Shift' with Henry Winkler, Michael Keaton and Shelly Long? Henry Winkler and Michael Keaton play morgue attendants turned pimps.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen it but is it not pretty well-regarded as a good comedy movie, rather than a corny one?

Watched The People a few weeks ago (and Kim Darby costars!). I agree, Shat was pretty straight and 'normal' in the role.

It's probably best described as 'cute' and 'charming'.
It gave Henry Winkler a chance to stretch as an actor and gave Michael Keaton his breakout role.

For something to be corny the movie needs to take something that is silly to serious or something that should be serious but feels silly in how they are doing it. With that said I think "I know What you did Last Summer" is a good corny movie. They were trying to do a kind of normal 80's style slasher movie but the acting was terrible, especially from Hewitt and you have really reached the bottom of the barrel of slasher killers when all you can come up with is a fisherman with a hook and wearing a slicker.

i wouldnt say these movies are "corny" or cheesy. theyre just good and great to watch over and over.

I loved "The Money Pitt." That's one those movies were I laughed so hard it kind of hurt when I first saw this
