The Bridge

NCC-1701-B

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Something i noticed, is that the bridge dosent appear to be in the dome part?
It is toward the front of the bridge module, considering the viewscreen is actually a window, but the window is not in the dome. Anyone else see this? or is it just me?

it seems to be in the forward part of the module, and the dome is a separate room or something...

Forgive the crude drawing, i cant find any decent images of the bridge module

The bridge seems to be on deck 2?

I like the ... ??? ... transparent aluminum ... ??? ... window they used; I thought the dome idea was too easy to target... and breakable... and they dont use battle suits like in the honor harrington universe...

but I still thought the bridge was on the bottom of the ship... which i find is a smarter idea and more secure...

It seemed to me the bridge was on the bottom. The orientation of the hull-markings made that suggestion not to mention where the "floor" was. But I'll have to pay attention on repeat viewing.

The Bridge also seems to be right-off a hallway and I hate the open window idea. :rolleyes;

The camera simply turned upside down to give us a view in a different way, we are in space afterall, what is down and up, heh. The bridge is on the "top" of the ship.

Was the bridge ever int he dome part? I thought the dome sat on top of the bridge like a sensor pod or something. Not sure I'm buying the window bit because it wouldn't seem easy to change view angles (aft view).

Well, it was a window, but it's one of those windows with the overlay technology (we have that now!), where you can be staring out the window one moment, flip a switch and you're talking to someone a thousand miles away. It's more than just a window, though.

Yeah, they make cars with the speedometer on the glass of the windshield. Playing video on it at some point in several centuries isn't impossible.
