Spoilers The Blacklist - Season 6 Discussion Thread

I expect them to drag out the prison time. Red will be found guilty. Appeals can go on for years, after all, and he can finally be let out maybe as late as the season finale. Dembe will find out it was Liz that set up Red. Red will want to know who set him up since he is aware Dembe discovered the truth. Dembe refuses to tell unless Red comes clean with Liz. Liz gets the truth about Red and Liz fesses up to Red about putting him in jail but, as usual, regrets going behind Red's back and works to get him out. Liz and her half-sister end up at odds and Liz has to chose between the sister and Red in some fashion or other. I am betting Liz either kills or lets the sister die. At the very least their relationship will break up.

Supposedly according to the previews for this weeks 2 hour event, Red comes clean with all the secrets. I'll believe it when I see it. But my out there guess is her actual father took on the role of RR.

It's the economy of characters. We're too late into the series to care about it being someone who's never been shown before, which limits it to existing characters which then limits the number of logical viable candidates. Revealing that Red is actually his long-lost never-mentioned-before brother Bob, or that Red is actually some minor character that appeared a couple times in a flashback episode, would be even worse than The Mentalist's reveal of Red John or Castle's reveal of LokSat.

Raise your hand if you think Red will actually be executed. It will be interesting to see how they get out of this situation.

I completely forgot for a while that Liz had a child, who they conveniently dropped off at grandma's so that Liz could...not have to be a mom? I don't get exactly why. She didn't even mention him at all to Red during his last meal, no "I'm sad you won't see her grow up" or anything. Really there's been no mention of her at all for quite some time. Children can be so inconvenient.

I also think it's strange that they haven't made more mention of Liz basically being the reason that Red is about to die. He was captured because of the tip she had called in, and several episodes ago she seemed to feel guilty about it, but now on his dying day she seems sad to see him go, but not too broken up about it being her fault.

Also, what the heck state are they in where executions get carried out just days or weeks after the sentencing?

I'm still broken up over Hudson.

Sooner or later they may mention it in passing. I just wish they'd stop this Love/Hate, Trust/Don't trust Red thing with her character. She doesn't have to be 100% Team Red but stop the I'm gonna bury him/I can't hurt him thing they do with Liz.

Yeah, even without an appeals process it would take time.

Red's execution will be faked and then Robert Vaughn will show up to offer him a spot on the A-Team.

There's going to be a Season 7 so they're going to have to pressure Evil President to pick up the phone.

I had that convoluted thought for a moment too, but wasn't it confirmed the bones in the suitcase are the original RR
