The Blacklist, season 3 *Spoilers!*

I wish we could get a prequel show just about Red. Can you slap a wig on James Spader, some heavy makeup to look younger and maybe a girdle to cinch things in, they could make it work, right? My wish for the show is that Keen disappear, Ressler disappeared, Cooper, Aram, Ziva can stay. Plus give more to Dembe to do.

I love Dembe. Hubby and I both noticed how, in this last episode, when the shoot-up happens, Red and Ressler take cover behind the car, and the Germans duck behind the boxes. Dembe just stands out in the open, firing calmly, never flinching. He's pretty badass.

Letting Tom walk scot-free made no sense. Wouldn't they have at the very least thrown him into one of those prisons that don't exist?
What makes you think he was let go?

Because of where he was and how he was dressed at the end when he called Elizabeth.

Although Mr Light might be right and Tom has to work for aspiring AG guy, who I hope is his own thing and not part of the mysterious secret society group.

^Plus, Aspiring AG Guy said there was "no record of Tom Keen incarcerated anywhere," but that could also mean they will Keen as their own informant/agent. But, yeah, that was kinda lame all-around.

Just because he wasn't in chains and an orange jumpsuit doesn't mean he was free. We didn't exactly see him calling from Disney World.

That scene convinced me more than ever that she's not his biological daughter.

I don't know... You make some really good points, but I still have the gut feeling that Red's her father. I suppose that belief could be just too obvious, but his overriding concern for her well-being sure makes it seem that Lizzie's his daughter.

I think Red killed her parents and then helped her escape the fire, and then out guilt--having lost his own family--has been her secret benefactor. I think, if Red turns out to be his actual daughter, I will be rather disappointed.

You know, I actually like this return of Tom. I like that Keen and Tom/Jacob will always orbit each other. I know this is weird but they are kinda made for each other. I would like to see them eventually move on from this and possibly start over.

The shooting of Red at the end of the episode was unexpected, even though they were kinda telegraphing it. So I'm unsure how to consider this. Was it an actual assassination attempt on Red? Did Red set this up, don't put it past him to have himself shot to throw people off. Is it all a ruse, blood squibs and all.

I tend to think that Red himself arranged this, to make it seen to the Alliance that someone had taken him out. I mean, he's always been one step ahead everyone else on the show, he plans methodically and since he knew that he was on thin ice with the group... Yeah, I think this was his answer.

Of course, I'm probably wrong and the next ep will open with Lizzie and Demby rushing him to the nearest hospital!

Just a reminder that the show returns this evening and we'll find out if Red really got shot, or orchestrated the whole thing.

Unfortunately, I won't get to see this until Saturday, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait and we'll learn a bit more about this mysterious Fulcrum.

Not a bad episode, not a lot of new info given out ( is there ever?) but, as usual, the preview of the next episode gives away WAY too much.

At least a tiny bit of the plot gets explained, that's something.

And, I have to say that "Mr. Kaplan" is freakin' awesome. I just love her.

Yup!

I was screaming at the screen "SAY YOU'RE HER DAD ALREADY, DAMMIT!!!"
But do they ever listen to me?...

Agreed.

I suspect we'll see a Mr. Kaplan-based episode at some point, seeing as how they clearly indicated there was something between them beyond their professional relationship.

That may have been the best episode of the season. I hope that Lizzie wasn't bluffing about having a copy, since she left the Interface and the Fulcrum with the Director.

And seriously, how much long is it going to take her to figure out that Red's her father (yes, I still maintain that until I'm proven wrong).

I suspect that he killed her family and has been "looking after" her ever since then. He's the man who shot her father, burned the house, and then, when he found her hiding in the closet, rescued her.

I have to admit that your theory does fit all the facts and likely will be the correct answer in the end. I suppose too, this is why Red told Demby that he 'can't' bring himself to tell Lizzie the truth.

Still...

And it's probably too much to hope for that we'll find out in the last three eps before the end of the season. I'm just glad that it's already been renewed.
