I was looking for Bernard Cribbins pics from Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. when I ran across this little gem:

Anyone heard this?

It's at Amazon if anyone cares. Also Last.fm.

Wow. He sounds younger, obviously, but the same too. Unmistakably Wilf.

Not my style of music by any stretch, but might be worth the $6 anywho.

If you check out the "Doctor Who Confidential" for "Cold Blood" they use Cribbins song "Hole in the Ground"

In case anyone doesn't know, Right Said Fred was a big hit for Bernard in the early 60s. And yes, the "I'm Too Sexy" pop duo took their name from the song.

It's still well-remembered: during the 2009 Christmas edition of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a comedy-themed game show guest hosted by David Tennant and also featuring Catherine Tate, Tennant even got Bernard to sing a few bars of Right Said Fred.

I didn't know there was a CD out there - I'll have to check it out!

I sent my brother the link to the album, out of interest.

He bought me the album.

So now I have another "odd" CD to add to that part of my collection (Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Tom Jones) that I don't listen to a whole lot, but can be fun once in a while.

WMP ripped it and assigned it the genre "children". Is that right? Seems more like whatever Perry Como (or something like that) would be.

Loved right said fred since before I was a teenager - parents had it on a 60s compilation cd. Discovered "Hole in the Ground" on holiday at the time of the 1999 eclipse :techman:
