The Best DS9 Model Kit

The dark acrylics sound an interesting way to go. I just can't decide if the lights are worth it. They're an awesome detail, but since this would be my first real model kit construction, I just don't know if I want the trouble. This is what happens when you give me options. I pull my hair out trying to decide.

Of course, this is all dependent on me finding one of these, but still nice to now which way I want to go in advance of the situation arising.

If it's your first kit...it's going to be a bit of a pain in the arse anyway. Use really strong glue to join the three segments of the docking ring, and make sure to hold it in alignment with clamps. You do not want to do the lights as it will likely dishearten you and make it take forever to build.

Thanks for the advice! :) Will keep that in mind while I mull the situation over.
