Spoilers The Bad Batch - Season 1 Discussion [cue A-Team theme music]

Siddig would be an amazing Doctor, but I don't know if he's the type of actor who (at this point in his career) would want to be tied down to a show. He did the whole "full time cast member of a sci fi show" for 7 seasons of his career already, I don't know if he'd want to "settle down" with a full time show at this point

If he and the BBC follow seeming standard procedure, he would be tied to The Doctor for three series and maybe a special or two. The 60th anniversary is coming soon.

Was he just recurring on Game of Thrones? He was credited as a regular for Season 4 of Gotham, but I don't think he was actually in every episode.
I had no idea he was the Senator until you guys mentioned it here.

Looking online, he was on about 6 episodes of GoT and 12 episodes of Gotham, which wouldn't be a full season of either show but thats all I know about those appearances, since I didn't watch GoT only only watched the first Season of Gotham, which he wasn't on.

I still prefer the option. I skip with Mandalorian too.
Maybe it's different on other people's interfaces, but when I'm watching "Bad Batch," by the time the "skip intro" button actually appears, there's nothing left to skip because it's just the show's logo. So nothing happens when the button is pressed. In fact, sometimes it actually seems to go backward half a second.

Haven't had that experience. But, my machines are not fast either.

Was surprised to see that that was Vanessa Marshall voicing Hera. I mean, I know that Freddie Prinze jr. voiced Caleb, but it just didn't sound like her. And Chopper is once again being voiced by "himself".

Fun connections aside, I'm honestly increasingly impressed at the maturity of the storytelling in this show. This feels more and more like a very nice hybrid of both the TCW and Rebel episode format. The core character focus of the latter, but still the former's potential for wider narratives that's almost but not quite anthological.

I'm also impressed about how organically they're fitting these established characters in. Doesn't feel at all like stunt casting and makes perfect sense to tell this story with this show.

One assumes next week will be the Bad Batch coming to the rescue and get them all into hiding. Though I think it's a safe bet that Eleni won't be making it to the end. Speaking of which, it's a nice detail that they imply that Eleni was the spymaster to Cham's guerrilla fighter. You can see where Hera gets a lot of her traits from both of them. Also, Gobi is Hera's uncle? I wonder if that's literal (presumably on Eleni's side) or more of a "close friend of the family" type of thing.

Really? Maybe it's just because I've heard her do enough different characters in various things over the years, but I could tell it was her right off the bat. Don't get me wrong she's definitely not doing her "adult Hera" voice what with the higher pitch and of course the "Ryloth" accent. Plus as you say, they got Freddy to come back, and women voice actors have a slight advantage in the vocal pitch department when when it comes to playing younger characters, so who else would they use? ;)

She also briefly reverted to using the french accent when talking to Cham in the Rebels S2 episode "Homecoming". Which seems to be because they established the use of french accents with Aayla Secura in Clone Wars, even though Hera generally doesn't use one herself as an adult.

That was a weird episode. It barely had them in it. Was that Clone Trooper with the stripe one we’ve seen in Clone Wars?

Darn nice episode! The way the Imperial Clone Trooper seems to be hesitating is getting attention and is probably going to pay off later in the season but surely they can't get rid of the Clone Troopers this quickly can they? It would probably be years before they have enough non clone troops to replace them. But I like that there is still some humanity to them and it's mostly Jedi they want to destroy.
