^I thought I recognised the design, but wasn't sure if it was just one of the alt skins from BF2. I was wondering if Delta Squad would show up eventually, though if it's just Scorch on his own, one has to wonder if they're saving the other three for later. CF-99 may not have been the only commando unit to mostly go rogue. 
A little surprised the Kaminoan rebellion seems to have been put down before it even started. Somehow I thought they'd be better prepared for this eventuality.
I had a feeling the commando from the cold opening was Gregor, though it does beg the question how he knows Rex since he wasn't a part of that mission. Just another unseen late Clone Wars story I suppose, like how the Batch crossed paths with Cut and his family...
Anyone getting a sense of how much time has passed since Order 66? Feels like it should have been close to the 6 month mark by now, given how fast things seem to be moving.
Kiner was full of the John Williams score quotes this week; the ANH version of the Imperial Theme was all over this episode! Likewise the sound department slipping in some pod racing effects quotes!
I like that the War-Mantle troopers aren't quite wearing full on iconic OT Stormtrooper gear just yet. This seems like a half-way mark between the familiar design and the more modular Imperial Army design from Solo, with a dash of classic McQuarrie (which I suppose will now be called "Phase 1 Stormtroopers"?)

I thought they pulled it straight from his original concept art......Dave seems to love to mine stuff from that pile. Like Zeb being the original Chewbacca concept.
Yeah it's mostly from the old McQuarrie concepts, but if you look you'll note a much more defined helmet section like in Solo (and the cadet helmets from Rebels, which were also in turn inspired by early snowtrooper concepts.)
I mean when you get down to it, it's all from McQuarrie one way or the other (and maybe a little Joe Johnston here and there) but they're still cherry picking different elements.
I thought the X-Wings from the Sequel trilogy were nice too.

Another terrific episode which utilized everyone's skills on their nail-biting rescue of...Gregor!
I had been wondering ever since his return in Rebels how he ended up with Rex and Wolffe on Seelos. Obviously that gap in his history didn't need to be filled in but I'm grateful nonetheless. Although we still haven't seen his first meeting with Rex. Another unseen story waiting to be made...
Unfortunately, Gregor's rescue came at the cost of Hunter's capture...and his long-awaited reunion with Crosshair. Can't wait for next week!

Hell, I thought I had jinxed him because moments earlier I thought "Well, we know Gregor is the only one guaranteed to survive..."

I like how Filoni explained the decline in quality of the Republic/Empire's armed forces - and the apparent fate of the Kaminoans.
It was amazing showing just WHY Clones were badass and Stormtroopers can't hit anything......like a wink wink to the fans
Filoni's winks are legendary, and woven into all of his body of work. If only Disney had let him handle the sequels...
Yep, the new recruits were complete mess ups. As for the Kaminoans one scientist was of interest to the Empire. Obviously a nod to The Mandalorian and TROS.
So can we blame Snoke on the Kaminoans?
