Too many people (especially in the UK) have come forward admitting that the crop circles were all hoaxes, simply done with a length of rope and a board.
A real ET reply would be a landing at NASA, the UN or a major capital NOT a cryptic sign in a farmer's field....
The evidence that it is a hoax is the lack of evidence that it is not.FordSVT said:
what you're putting forth is certainly not evidence.

Really now, who can say what kind of actions and responses an alien system of logic would create? And even if they were exactly like us in that regard, generally the deployment of large amounts of interceptor aircraft and AA missles would be the response to violating "secure" air space. If they have been studying us for any length of time, certianly they'd know just how finicky we are about that.
Best to land in the middle of no where and let us come to them. It would give us the sense of greater control and security.

And Stonehenge, for that matter.TerriO said:
And then if you pull the Nazca Lines into the equation, things start to get interesting.![]()
If they're trying to communicate with humans, they're doing a very poor job. Continued destruction of crops in order to 'communicate' through unintelligible markings does not seem to be very logical at all.MIB said:

I've always thought that, if crop circles are a genuine thing, that they'd make more sense coming from time travelers than from aliens.
Seems to me it'd be a useful (and cheap) way to confirm you've shown up in the time period intended by looking for a specific pattern in a specific place. Crop cirlces have the advantage here of being around for a reletively short period of time given the medium they are drawn in.
Silly maybe, but just a thought experiment on my part.
