It's a great show. I highly recommend seeking out some episodes online. Here's one folks here might enjoy (Start at 4:28):I am unfamiliar with the show so I did not interpret it as such.
Thank you for the recommendation. As with most things, comedy in text form can sometimes be missed without context clues. It's a great show. I highly recommend seeking out some episodes online. Here's one folks here might enjoy:
You mean something along these lines? As with most things, comedy in text form can sometimes be missed without context clues.
STAR TREK MYTH #5: Redshirts always die the most.
CONFIRMED. As Memory Alpha puts it, "This is the episode in which the redshirt phenomenon comes to the fore. Every red-shirted male in the landing party dies horribly. Hendorff is killed by the plant's poisoned darts, Kaplan by the lightning, Mallory is blown up by an exploding rock, and Marple is killed by a blow to the head."
Well... Four outta five isn't bad.![]()
My sense of humor must be broken today. You mean something along these lines?
You know, when I say "I need to go to the bathroom", that doesn't mean the place I'm in has only one bathroom. So when Captain Kirk says "I need to go to the transporter room"...

So the real “myth” that gets busted is that inconclusive evidence of one scene from one episode can overrule real-world documentary evidence.
They only brought enough parts with them to modify one...which they figured would be sufficient, since there are only five of them. These guys were able to adapt this transporter to work faster, so why not trot down to the other transporter room(s) and just make the same adjustment?
There's the thread. Right. There.I like to think of it as being fifty-something years into a continuous diagnostic cycle...
Most threads probably. And as a group, we do seem to be a fickle bunch when it come to behind-the-scenes info. There's the thread. Right. There.
This conversation is pretty much moving in a circle by now.
That's not a bug of this forum, it's a feature.
