At the very least I always feel the opener should be an hour and a half. I mean at this episode, we have to have the intros to all the new racers, we had to time consuming events, and yeah it looks like racer error as the only reason the team got eliminated.

When you look at the two bottome teams the girls are the ones who made a terrible choice, that was totally in their control (Taking the first train leaving without even checking when it arrived Ouch, that is an incredible stupid move). THe other team makes a bad call with a cab (something that they don't have full control over) and that is what kills them.

I watched it again last night and paid attention to the FA bags -- they are the backpack/roller bag variant similar to:

I find it shocking that Biggest Loser gets a 2-hour episode EVERY WEEK but other reality shows out there that are much better and even have better ratings, like Survivor and Amazing Race, don't even get one for the opener or finale.

I'm guessing that is a network decision. TAR and Survivor are CBS while Loser is NBC. NBC has fewer top programs and needs to milk those that are cheap and garner even mediocre ratings
