The Amazing Race - 10/19/08 - Grading & Discussion

The whole businesses on water thing never ceases to amaze me. I wonder what the commute must be like. 
I was a challenge in the Amazing Race. They didn't let me out of the secret hotel until now.
I thought this was a pretty decent episode. Plenty of laughs to be had: Kelly and Christie talking up about using their brains, then acting brain dead the whole leg, the frat boys being even dumber ("This is impossible!"), watching Tina wander aimlessly around looking for the echo chamber, seeing Tina's ear-to-ear grin fall off her face when Terence and Sarah showed up on the plane, seeing Sarah's dancing and cheering turn to near tears as her boat motor crapped out...lots of fun this leg!
Challenges weren't all that rough, however.
Laughed my ass off at Terrence and Sarah getting a ticket, and it came back to bite them in the ass. They got a time penalty. Oh, I can't wait to hear the whining from Terrence about that.
This one was kinda anti-climatic. Everyone knew Ty and Aja were out of it, but I must say I enjoyed the Frat Boys living up to their dumbness. They are completely clueless. When you have to look to the Divorcees for help, you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas.
Love Toni and Dallas. I hope they win.

Did you see the look that Sarah gave to Terence in the preview when Phil's voiceover explained the time penalty for departing late the next leg? Loved it.
Like it matters though. 
They must have seen enough episodes to know that they'll just bunch up at some random event anyway.

Yeah, but for some reason, one of the leading teams always acts completely shocked that they lost their lead while waiting for a flight or a museum to open. Hey teams! Build your lead while you can, but always know that it's going to disappear very shortly.
The only reason to come in first is to win those trips. But really, the only thing more awkward than a romantic getaway with your sister would be a romantic getaway with your mother.
They should go back to giving free gas for a year!
