That would be cool. Would explain Hayden Christensen's involvement beyond flashbacks.

This is what I assumed it would be, despite the fact that the Obi-Wan show already went there.
A flashback featuring another sparing session seems unoriginal to me.
I am going with force ghost option as well. Or we could see a flashback between Vadar and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Maybe they do a episode that shows his origin story, how he rose to a Grand Admiral and how he has gotten to the place he currently is in the story. Maybe he and Vadar even talked to each other about Ahsoka and she wants to know what they talked about.
Had the weirdest dream last night.
We were editing the timeline, seemingly to make Mace Windu choose his words wisely. We first tried getting Anakin to volunteer to be arrested but didn't go well with Windu, so then instead we got master Windu to ask him “Has [the chancellor] given you any of his teachings?”
When he uttered that, all of a sudden the we were all transported in a school, wooden desks. We knew Anakin had something to do with it, perhaps he was running the school. A person in a full cloak walked in and sat on the front row. “It's Ahsoka,” we thought. I tried to see the person writing hand to see if it was orange, but instead it was blue and white (or grey) like Ahsoka's head tails and montrals, or like an Evereni member of the Path of the Open Hand cult.
We had never met Ahsoka, so we assumed it was her. Moments later realization hit me that is someone trying to impersonate her and I woke up.

That would be really cool if it was true, I've been wanting to see Star Wars go there for a while now.
If it was just Vader in the suit, then they probably wouldn't have gone to the trouble of bringing in Christensen. While they did have him the suit in Obi-Wan, we still had several scenes with him out of the suit, so they didn't just bring him in to wear the suit.
I'm personally hoping for a Force Ghost since we've never really gotten Force Ghost Anakin beyond the cameo at the end of the DVD and later version of Return of the Jedi.
But a Cloe Wars era flashback could be cool too, since we've never gotten the see Hayden interact with Ahsoka before. This then brings up the question of who could play a teenage Ahsoka, since it would probably be hard to deage the 43 year old Rosario Dawson down the age she was during the Clone Wars.
I imagine Force Ghost of some kind, possibly as a kind of "vision quest" that drives Ahsoka forward during her hunt for Thrawn.
In my own personal fan fictionalized idea here Anakin will try to assist Ahsoka in her current identity crisis of being a Force user, and whether she is a Jedi, not a Jedi, how she can help Luke or not help Luke in his new efforts. Obviously Ahsoka has some old wounds with leaving the Order, and mistrust of the Jedi Ways, despite her own refusal to train Grogu for the same reason about Anakin by Yoda. So, I think she will have to make peace with that, while pursuing Thrawn. My own personal hope is that she will return, fight the First Order in her own way, and find Rey and decide to start the Order anew, the past and the future drawn together and bound by lessons learned from the Skywalkers.

Is it possible that Thrawn knew Vadar was Anakin before he became Vadar? I think I once heard he was one of the few people who knew the secret of who Vadar really was. We could see a flashback to a Thrawn and Anakin before he becomes Vadar moment.
I mean at some point Thrawn must have been seen as a good guy fighting the separatist in the Clone Wars. Heck we could see a flashback with Anakin,Thrawn and young Ahsoka maybe fighting some droids or something.

In one of the new novels he suspected but wasn’t 100% sure.
apparently they cast someone for a young Ahsoka, so Hayden may be in there as a flashback ( Hopefully better de aged)
Pretty sure that by the end of the novel he was indeed 100% sure who Vader was, and also 100% sure that if he pressed the matter, his life expectancy would be cut very short indeed.
So far as I'm aware, that's still just an unconfirmed rumour. Also it's one of those rumours that may as well just be a guess based on what's already known, so even if this turns out to be the case (odds are high) I wouldn't pay the source much credence in the future.

Well, the rumours include sevaral bits that are not in (my) sources of what's officially known: That Savannah Steyn will play young Ahsoka, which sounds as speculative as the same rumour that Moses Ingram would be playing young Ahsoka in Kenobi (if Steyn's even cast), so it might be 10% of a validation of the sources it that happens. That the story would involve
the world between worlds
there will be more than two actresses playing Ahsoka, which is probably a non-improbable speculation for flashback's sake, but I suspect to be false except for a potential toddler or baby, which is in itself unlikely.
I wonder how much backstory they will provide on Ahsoka for those that never watch cartoons. We got a little of her in The Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett, but this will be her own show (or a sequel to Rebels) where they might need to catch people up on things. Unlike Kenobi, they can't just do a montage of the Clone Wars and Rebels...can they? Or would they actually redo some scenes in live action, just to get people up to speed?
Don't know where I saw it but there was a banner of 2023 SW shows. For Ahsoka they had a Rosario image but underneath her were some animated Rebels. ( I guess because those are the only images of them so far. Weirdly, it included Kanan who for obvious reasons is unlikely to be in the show. )
