The Ahsoka series is coming.

If it helps I don't let minutia effect my enjoyment. I think most people might talk and break down shows and maybe fight over this and that but I feel that when the show or movie starts all that goes out the window and people enjoy or don't enjoy it based on whether or not it's good or bad IMO. I have never let another person effect my opinions on the shows or movies I like. I'm sorry though if I played a role in making you less interested in the show.

Too late. Aphra was OK in the comics but if this is the response it isn't worth it.
Hyperbolic histrionics much?

Also note that we have exactly bugger all indication that Aphra is even on the cards to appear. This latest round of "trying to explain simple concepts to intransigents" had more to do with how the latest casting news doesn't indicate Aphra's involvement because: ethnicity.

But sure, if you want to use that as a pretence to announce your emphatic disinterest . . . uh, good for you, I guess?

*rummages around for the tiny violin*

You know what might be cool though? A Doctor Aphra series.

I've only seen her in the Darth Vader comics but she was pretty likeable for an amoral manipulative Indiana Jones. Get Kieron Gillen onboard as a writer/producer, throw in some evil robots, and it'll be a fun way to pass the time between all the other countless Star Wars series in development.

Your concern is touching.

It might be a possibility at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The tricky part is getting her characterization right. She's very much a Chaotic Neutral, with a weird streak of Lawful Evil, and a conscience (surprisingly) that she almost always ignores. That is a very difficult balancing act to pull off, both in the writing and in the acting departments.

Lean into it too much and you get an unlikable sociopath. Not enough and she's just an Indiana Jones knock-off.

Does anyone think all the Rebels characters will show up on the show even Chopper? I feel like we are going to see lots of love for Rebels.

I imagine Kanan will not appear.

Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Ezra and Sabine. Not sure if they can come up with a reason for Hera, Chopper and Zeb to appear. Depends greatly on the story. It is, after all Ashoka’s story, not a direct Rebels sequel.

I could see Zeb show up if he's been helping in the Unknown Regions. Where Hera goes, Chopper won't be far behind. But Hera was last seen as a New Republic general in the Starfighter Corps. While I can image that she might retire, raise her kid and all that, she's still going to be cruising around in the Ghost. But Ashoka and Sabine would be after Erza and Thrawn.

Well we already know Sabine is going to be there, and from context clues it's reasonable to assume Ezra will show up in some form or another somewhere down the line (possibly Joruus C'baothing up the joint.) That just leaves Zeb, Hera, Chopper, & Rex.

Of those Rex is by far the easiest to pull off since Morrison is very much available, and he's the character that's the closest to Ahsoka.
Hera, Chopper and I guess Jacen are all very doable. Whether it's Vanessa Marshall or someone else, a live action Hera is just a matter of applying the standard Twi makeup design. Of course it'll also mean building a new Chopper hero prop since the one made for the web show won't cut it.
Zeb however would be a lot more involved than all of the above put together. It means designing and developing a live action version of him that both reads as "real", and be recognisably Zeb, without it looking like a deleted scene from the 'Sonic the Hedgehog' movie. And yeah, I'm assuming performance capture is the way to go there, which while technically feasible would be a significant effort.

So while all of these are totally feasible it's still an expense (both in budgetary terms and in narrative screen time), so it's a question of how necessary it is for them to be a part of it. My guess is not very. I can't see Filloni just shoving them in for the sake of a cameo. Just as with Ahsoka's appearance on 'The Mandalorian', it needs to be substantive and worthwhile. So they're either going to play a big role, or none at all.
I'm guessing "none at all".

they had a chopper built for rogue one, may still exist
I'm sure it does, but being a relatively cheap commission build (which is fine, it was just meant for little skits on a web show after all) it had very limited functionality. The reality is simply that build quality just wasn't up to hero-prop standards, even if they wanted to use it (probably half the reason why they kept it in the deep background on Rogue One.)

Regardless, I'm pretty sure it broke down at some point down they switched to using an R3 as a replacement, so even if it's still around it would almost certainly need to be renovated.

Plus of course on top of all that when it comes to props, you never have just one of anything when you're making movies/shows. So either way, there would need to be at least one new Chopper build.

I don't know if the Rebels are going to show up on Ahsoka, but I know that they know that we want the Rebels to show up.

I'm pretty sure they will show up eventually in a live action show even if it's not this one. It's just a matter of time and which show.
