Too late. Aphra was OK in the comics but if this is the response it isn't worth it.I wouldn't let fights like this ruin the character for you. How interesting the character will be is going to come down to the writers and actor.

Jayson is hardly representative of fandom. Don't let one dumb fan ruin your enjoyment of a character.Too late. Aphra was OK in the comics but if this is the response it isn't worth it.
It's a cumulative effect.Jayson is hardly representative of fandom. Don't let one dumb fan ruin your enjoyment of a character.
Especially since we don't even know if she's going to be in this show or not.
No, it's pretty much fandom as it stands now. This is just the latest example. Enjoyment is secondary to minutia. From one poster? That's just silly.
Hyperbolic histrionics much?Too late. Aphra was OK in the comics but if this is the response it isn't worth it.
Your concern is touching.Hyperbolic histrionics much?
Also note that we have exactly bugger all indication that Aphra is even on the cards to appear. This latest round of "trying to explain simple concepts to intransigents" had more to do with how the latest casting news doesn't indicate Aphra's involvement because: ethnicity.
But sure, if you want to use that as a pretence to announce your emphatic disinterest . . . uh, good for you, I guess?
*rummages around for the tiny violin*
It might be a possibility at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The tricky part is getting her characterization right. She's very much a Chaotic Neutral, with a weird streak of Lawful Evil, and a conscience (surprisingly) that she almost always ignores. That is a very difficult balancing act to pull off, both in the writing and in the acting departments. You know what might be cool though? A Doctor Aphra series.
I've only seen her in the Darth Vader comics but she was pretty likeable for an amoral manipulative Indiana Jones. Get Kieron Gillen onboard as a writer/producer, throw in some evil robots, and it'll be a fun way to pass the time between all the other countless Star Wars series in development.
they had a chopper built for rogue one, may still existOf course it'll also mean building a new Chopper hero prop since the one made for the web show won't cut it.
I'm sure it does, but being a relatively cheap commission build (which is fine, it was just meant for little skits on a web show after all) it had very limited functionality. The reality is simply that build quality just wasn't up to hero-prop standards, even if they wanted to use it (probably half the reason why they kept it in the deep background on Rogue One.)they had a chopper built for rogue one, may still exist
