The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I've seen pictures of those. They look pretty cute, creative and entertaining for what they are, so congrats on your score. :) Larry the Cable Guy as Darth Vader. Who'd have thunk it.

I have been absent from here for too long. So here's my latest acquisition, NECA's Godzilla:

Loads of articulation, and a great sculpt.

The new electronic talking Darth Vader just officially went on sale at Disney Stores here in the U.S. and that means that all four of the first figures in this line are now available for both brick-and-mortar and online purchase.

Three new Toys "R" Us-exclusive Black Series 3.75" figure multipacks are planned, including a Rancor Pit and a Cantina Showdown. The prices look to be exorbitant and will probably price many collectors right out of getting them (at least until sales and markdowns happen), but new product is planned and might open opportunities for some very popular and highly-requested figures to be reissued in new packaging.

I'm pretty certain that my collecting is a major contributing factor to my remaining single. I spend way too much time and money on acquiring new things. I have enough versions of Batman and Green Lantern to scare away any potential mate.

I'm breeding dolls around here. :) I have Star Trek Voyager action figures by Playmates and really need to set them out and take pictures so I can share them her. After all, this is a Trek board. :) I've had them for many years and they are still in their boxes. The only one I have sitting out is Chakotay. :)

If you ever get the opportunity to take and post some images of your Trek stuff we'd love to see your collection. I didn't collect the old Playmates stuff from the '90s but quite a bit of it was very interesting and looked great for the era in which it was made.

Hawkeye isn't the only member of my Shelf Avengers with a past. The Black Knight is rather embarrassed by the way he looked in the 90s...

Oh, that hair and stubble. Poor Dane. The 90s were not good to him.
