Heh. Black Knight shouldn't feel so bad. I don't think any superhero made it through the 90s with their dignity in tact. Truly a dark time.

Except perhaps Superman - but that's only because he didn't have to appear in any really crappy films during that decade. Although there might have been some comic storylines I'm not aware of that reduced him to a mere shell of a Kryptonian doing idiotic things.

Yup. So he did.

And we have yet another reason to have a higher opinion of Superman III than we really should.

Not to mention that picture looks like it was drawn by Dan Jurgens, who wrote and drew Superman for pretty much the entire 90's.

And, I'll see your Black Knight scan and raise you a Superman one from 1994:

Just for fun, another Jurgens Superman image:

Oh, the 90s were EVIL. :guffaw:

Here's the rest of Black Knight's embarrassing past:

Yet he still managed to get the ladies...

I much prefer the way he looks these days. Nice haircut, no stubble. He's still a bit of a dork, though.

 if that is that is the look they were going for that just increased the awesome level 100%

Indeed. Nothing improved Autobots like giving them lots of guns. :rommie:

You mean like the majority of the Silver Age, at least in terms of covers? :p :D

Then again, this was the decade of the Total Justice DC Hero line

Sorry for the image size, I don't own the toy and had to find an imagine online. It's Superman with some sort of translucent armor.

Suddenly Richard Pryor getting Superman infected and turning him into a malevolent dirtbag with a chunk of Kryptonite seems like the best plot ever conceived for the character. Nuclear Man? I apologize for anything negative I ever said about you.
