The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Finally! Finally! After so long a search! I stopped by my TRU on the way to the comic shop, and lying there on the shelf, off to the left of the Star Wars pegs was a lone Nom Anor! Plus, Star Wars figures were on sale,, so he only cost me $4.99! That just makes it so much sweeter. :D

Awesome news, man!

What do you think of him thus far? Does the figure live up to all your expectations?

Just a helpful piece of advice. Be careful with his feet. The way the ball joints at the ankles are engineered many Nom Anor figures have been known to see the feet pop out if too much force is applied to bending and posing them.

Ok, so the sculpt and paint are fantastic. This figure is probably among the very greatest Star Wars figures in the respect. The cloak, as with all Hasbro Star Wars cloaks is absolute rubbish. Thankfully, it's easily removed, and he still looks great without it.

Agreed on the cloak. Once you take it off (NOT recommended if you can avoid it, but I'm guessing it's too late to give you that advice) it's almost impossible to get back on and have look good. Just stick it in a drawer and forget about it. It's the weakest part of the entire figure by a light year and I wish they had used a soft goods design more along the lines of the cape that comes with Darth Malgus.

Oh, phooey. My Avengers St. Patrick's Day party is going to have to be a day or two late- my props won't get here until the 18th. :(

(I ordered some miniature beer mugs- I'm planning to have Thor drink them all under the table. "This holiday, I like it! Another!")

Hey, don't fret. We'll enjoy the awesome photos whenever you can take and post them....no big rush. :)

These will be my last new acquisitions for a little while, I think. Two awesome figures from two of my favorite video games:

Very nice.

I just noticed you own a Tom Servo figure. How did I never see this before?

The Master will not approve.

Servo has been in the background of like half the pictures I've posted in this thread.

As you've probably noticed, I take my pictures of new stuff at my desk before I work them into my shelves.....or sometimes they just stay on my desk.

Now that I have Chell, I really want NECA to make something like a Portal accessory pack that has a turret, a companion cube, Wheatley, a potato Glad0s that sticks on the end of the portal gun, and a cake! Considering the huge number of accessories that Gordon Freeman came with, and the fact that Portal is just a full of great ones, Chell feels a little light. The Portal gun does light up, though, so I'm sure a lot of the figure budget was eaten up there. That's why I would happily pay for a pack of more accessories.

The month-long TRU $4.99 sale on all 3.75” Star Wars action figures ends tomorrow night (March 16). If you haven't made your stops at your local store yet you need to hurry.

Scratch that, they arrived today. The party is on!
