The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Good thing I already have some cookies or I'd have to raid the nearest store for some.

^Those look wonderfully tasty and very, very festive.

I'm talking about the cookies, here...

Yeah, I hope so. I think the figures would be a little too crunchy. Plus Black Knight's sword is a choking hazard.

Ugh, Toy Wiz. I pre-ordered the Funko Pop Dancing Baby Groot. It seems to be available everywhere, but I haven't gotten mine yet. :(

Some toys and collectibles are always like that. Most everybody else has already gotten them or seem to find them in stores, but you haven't (at least not yet) and you can't find one no matter how many places you check. I hope you score him soon.

Found the Boba Fett prototype at my local Walgreens (they had five of them). Picked it up for the wife for Christmas. She's a big fan of the character.

Some more Batman: The Animated series stuff.

First is New Batman Adventures Two-Face:

Followed by New Batman Adventures Mr. Freeze:

Also, they included little legs that pop into the bottom of the head piece to display Freeze with his deteriorated body:

Congrats on scoring that Prototype Boba. He should get a whole lot easier for most collectors to find once all 40,000 of the additional figures ship and begin to get stocked.

Yeah, Two-Face makes me grateful for the stands. He stands ok on his own, but a light breeze or enough footsteps will knock him over. I guess that's the price we have to pay for accuracy to the character models, though.

Well, they apparently have him in stock. So I should at least have gotten a notification. :(

Mine shipped on Thursday from Entertainment Earth. :borg: I hope yours comes soon.

My sister and I are traveling today and tomorrow so I talked her into stopping at Target. I wanted to see what Black Series figures they had in stock. Much to my surprise all they had were Obi figures. Talk about peg warmers. I doubt they could give the damn things away.

And speaking of peg warmers, they had ALL of the six-inch Guardian of the Galaxy figures in stock. I would love to have them but they are priced way to high for what you are getting so I walked away.

Won't be around tomorrow to post this- so here is Day 16 of the Advent calendar. Kitty Pryde celebrates Hanukkah with some help from her non-Jewish friends from Excalibur and X-Men (and a curious Hulk). Lucky she has a little dragon and an ex-boyfriend with fire powers to help her light the candles! :p

Somebody in a collecting group on Facebook posted a photo of a Walgreens that had almost ten of the Prototype Fett lined up on a shelf. Just at that one store location.

Some big box retail stores don't have ten 6" Black Series figures on their shelves - total.

Knowing how people name their bands, the name's probably already been used. I guess it beats going to see No-Genitals Ken play a show.

Good luck! :techman:

Good luck! 40,000 is a lot of Prototype Fetts to ship out to just one store chain, so hopefully you can find at least one of him.
