The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I wonder if they will do any Marvel Legends action figures from Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. They did them for "What If...?" and "Into the Spider-Verse," so animated productions are valid source material for the figure line.

Wouldn't count on it, though. Lot of tooling for characters that don't have a huge fanbase. Unless they can find a way to re-use some of the tooling on other figures, I can't see them spending that much money.

Oh, it's Hasbro and the Marvel Legends line. They have plenty of bodies both male and female to recycle, repaint and reissue with new character deco and heads on them.

A little girl and a T Rex? With the girl able to ride the T Rex?

I guess they could re-used the little girl body for Valeria Richards, maybe the girls from Power Pack.

Yeah, any animal is difficult to reuse but humans? Give them time. Even Squirrel Girl with her scooter and squirrels has repaint and recycle potential.

So anyone know the answer to my earlier post, would long term storage affect things like joints on transformers? Should I maybe glue the ankles in place?

I guess it always depends on the plastic used, as well as the environment in which they are stored. Extreme temperatures are a factor. The plastic should be good quality, though, considering it's an official Transformers product. The way the toy is stored can be a factor, too, as in how small was the space and were the joints on any strain during storage.

Wave 2 of the new Indiana Jones retro collection includes figures of Short Round, Sallah and Henry Jones, Sr.

Thanks @Kai "the spy" ...... I have had that particular Optimus standing up in the top shelf of my wardrobe for at least 6 years and prior to that he was on one of my shelves in the bookcase on display in my room where the computer is. Just when I tried to stand him up without anything like the wardrobe wall behind him he kept flopping back a little and the ankles seems a bit looser then they should be. I just converted it back to a truck and that's how I am going to leave the figure since a standing pose seems a bit difficult now without damaging the figure.

The geezers from the Leicester vintage toy shop are back on tour through the UK in a new, double-length special:

I picked up a couple of Marvel Legends figures the other day. This whole line is rather hit-or-miss for me. I think I mentioned it before, but they just seem so "same-y" as the majority have some variation of tights/bodysuit with costume features painted on instead of actually sculpted. And even then, the painted stuff often isn't as detailed as it should be. One figure shows a picture on the packaging of the prototype figure with swiveling waist, but the actual figure in the box doesn't have that! For $30 I hope for something a bit better. The Hawkeye and Kate Bishop figures from the Hawkeye series are pretty good. Sometimes with live-action stuff they are forced to make new sculpts because existing molds won't look good enough.

I plan to get that camera transformer...... I never really treated myself as much as I wanted for my birthday so this will be the one thing I must have.

I’ve been holding out on getting this until it was on sale at Target. They had a ton and I knew I could wait. It’s a fantastic figure, very large.
