They look like they're both the real David Tennant and interacting!
Thanks!

Does anyone have any idea what happened to my pics? They are gone in all places where I posted them. When looking into the Photobucket folder, it’s empty. Did they delete them? Why? Is "unboxing" a word I should not have used for any reason? I just tried to upload a pic of the folder how I see it, with the name "unboxing.jpg" and again it is blocked somehow. I renamed it "box.jpg" and here it is:

Which type of figure do you prefer? 6" Black Series or the new Disney Elite die-cast characters?

They are both fantastic, it's hard to choose between them. However the Disney Elite are Die Cast and have significant amount of weight to them and feel more substantial.

The Disney Elite figures also come with figure stands, which is something that no Hasbro Star Wars figure has been packed with for about four years now. There's talk that figure stands are returning for the 3.75" or 6" scale or possibly both but right now it's nothing more than a rumor circulating on the collecting websites. Hasbro may or may not go through with such plans.

Emma Louise has a new "T.V." for Christmas. :p

xmas%20tv%203_zps3kuiutzv.jpg

It's actually a music box, and it plays eight Christmas songs.

My mom would have loved all of those dolls and accessories. :)

In other news, I scored the new 3.75" General Hux figure from the new The Force Awakens line. He was the only figure I saw today that I didn't have and the only copy in the entire store.

You always find the coolest doll accessories! Does the picture change when you turn the knob? I once had a TV in my dollhouse where you could turn a wheel and tell the whole story of "Hansel and Gretel".

How about some "Arrow" action? This is a recreation of the scene in the season 1 episode "Darkness on the edge of Time" where Malcolm Merlyn finds out who it is under the hood.

Note: The figure I use here for Malcolm Merlyn in his business suit is no official Arrow figure but Wesley from the Buffy/Angel line. The face is close enough. I have him in suit, tux and leather jacket as I doubt we would ever get an official "well dressed man" figure.

Nice recreation! Well, as nice as it can be given the limited articulation. ;)

:D You've got to admit that he looks a bit like John Barrowman though.

.... hey, that's not fair! I had a whole reply crafted out to your first comment ;) But thanks! Anyway, I just learnt the actor's name thanks to you. I really never watched the show and never cared, I only knew the figure. And apparently I got quite a wrong impression of the character because of it. You're saying this is him?

https://dvdbash.files.wordpress.com...sley-wyndam-pryce-alexis-denisof-dvdbash5.jpg

Huh. Looking rather good...

I first learnt about the figure many years ago at Gateworld, when someone told me how to make a Stargate Jack O'Neill in dress blue Air Force uniform. An easy custom, merely a paint job (the head is swapped, I am not THAT good)

I did add pockets though, and cut away the fourth button:

Yeah, I sometimes change my mind about what I want to say right after I post. I'm weird like that. ;)

Wesley appeared on both shows, and both are pretty good. You might enjoy them if you give them a shot.

What was your impression?

Yep, that's him.

What really sucks is that DST was actually going to include O'Neill in that uniform in their next SG-1 wave, but then they abruptly cancelled their whole Stargate line altogether. That wave was also going to include General Hammond and Ba'al, both of which I was looking forward to getting (especially Ba'al).

And they never even got around to making Apophis. And of course no Universe figures, though admittedly I'm not sure if I would have been too interested in those, except perhaps to get the Gate.

Anyway, enough of that rant. Excellent custom job!

WOW.

That is some impressive customizing work and an awesome recreation of a scene from the show! That's pure talent you have there, and in abundance. :techman:

Maybe, one day... there's too much stuff out there too watch. I saw the musical episode, and I liked it.

What was your impression?
From the way the figure looked like, with suit and tie and neatly combed hair, and since he comes with a book shelf and a briefcase (which I have leaning against my desk in the scene) - I thought he was some uptight bureaucrat or librarian probably. In any case boring ;) Then again he also comes with several weapons and that awesome weapons closet, so I figured he probably had a dark side, like Jekyll/Hyde?

So when I saw that first picture I googled I was really surprised, as the hairstyle also makes him look at least ten years younger than I had pictured him.

Oh yeah, I would have loved to have that Ba'al! And George Hammond as well, although I would have preferred him in the blue short sleeved shirt, the way we always saw him throughout the series. This wave also was supposed to have the Black Ops Carter (which people then did by painting a green one black, but of course the hat is wrong) and there was also supposed to be an UAV and a Horus guard. I think I saw a picture of the guard once but now can't find it.

And they never even got around to making Apophis. And of course no Universe figures, though admittedly I'm not sure if I would have been too interested in those, except perhaps to get the Gate.
I saw an Apophis someone had done by simply painting one of the main Jaffa golden. It kinda worked. I also have two of the red Jaffas which you got for free when you sent in enough proof of purchases. They really knew how to sell the line with all those assembly pieces, if you wanted the gate and the MALP and the DHD and the ring transporter, you had to keep buying figures you otherwise probably wouldn't have.

I gave up on Universe after a while, it didn't catch me. But I think in general they started too late with the figures, as SG-1 was coming to its end already. If they had started some years earlier, there might have been more interest.
Also, it was not the fans fault. Fans WANTED to buy those figures, but the sellers chickened out by not ordering them, and claiming there weren't enough pre-orders.

Anyway, enough of that rant. Excellent custom job!
Thanks! I already had started with it when they announced the official one, and then stopped, waiting for it, but when it was clear we wouldn't get it I resumed what I had started and for this reason alone I could bear the disappointment better. I also really could use a Janet Fraiser to complete my team.

WOW.

Aww thanks! *blushes*:o
There is some more Arrow stuff if you are interested. Here is the conclusion to the scene, from the season 1 finale "Sacrifices", when Malcolm wakes Oliver up with a bucket of water:

And a behind-the-scenes shot: John Barrowman tells on conventions often the story how he tweaked Stephen Amell's nipples ;) I'm sure it can be found on youtube:

And a real behind-the-scenes shot: I chained him to my kitchen shelf:

There's a major lack of nipple-tweaking when it comes to modern action figures. I can't be the first to say so. :p

For someone who loves the World of Nintendo toy line I find their lack of vehicles disturbing. ;)

So I solved that problem. For one character at least. I picked up this old Bratz car for pretty cheap and it looks just like Wario's car and just my luck, it was a match made in greedy matrimony. :rommie: Also inspired by the intro screen of Wario Land 4.

What I didn't expect was to be getting this, it is only available to Disney Visa holders. It's huge, I hope to display it some time.

That's the first time I've ever seen the Disney Elite Darth Vader in his packaging. I don't know if he's the best figure in the line so far but he looks like he'd rank pretty high on the list! Congrats on scoring him!

I was in Walmart today picking up the 2 3-packs of The Corps action figures with the female figures in them and noticed a Darth Vader R/C car.

CCC.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that celebrates!

Ianto says: "You know, you should watch what you are eating. Why not some fruit instead of all the cakes and fast food?"

Realization of the day: Gift wrapping paper makes for good wallpaper as well. I need to investigate this further.

^LOL!

My Shelf Avengers had taken a break, but here are a few of them having a hay ride, and bringing pumpkins and squash for Thanksgiving.

thanks%202_zpsq0btq9nj.jpg

They're also putting away garden tools, getting ready for winter!

thanks%203_zpsaiitiiez.jpg

Also, Emma Louise poses with two of my mom's big squash. They look like pumpkins, but they're not. I forgot what they're called. :p
