The 82nd Annual Academy Awards - discussion thread

You know, Bigelow does look quite amazing for a woman of 58.

And The Hurt Locker wins again. Man, Hanks really seemed to rush that one.

And The Hurt Locker wins Best Picture. I'm looking to see if I can get this on DVD now (not sure if it released here)

Avatar doesn't win! There's hope for film making after all :techman:

I need to see the Hurt Locker I guess

Snap! Take that Cameron!

He was the first one standing to applaud.

Yeah, cause he has a camera shoved in his face and everyone knows his past with her so he better pretend to be so happy for her.

However, I can see through his veneer of fake happiness.

Take that James. Your uber expensive movie got beat by something that cost a tiny fraction to make.
Oh seriously. I'm sure he's disappointed he lost, but that seems rather unfair.

It was a good movie.. Well acted and the cinematography was excellant. There are some well documented issues with the authenticity of the story, but from a fictional standpoint, it's a gripping picture.

On edit.. Very gracious speech by the director. Glad she mentioned all the emergency services folks out there. Well done..
