Me neither. Anyone actually read this BBS on a computer?
Some of us still living in the 20th century do. I'll make an attempt, but the connection's been shaky today.
I know, just funnin' ya.[Australis]^The little word "or" I put in there, once, should -what's this sort of grammatical thing called?- be read for every comma! afaik.
I got it.
Although, as I feared, connection screwed up, had to reboot, and lost about 20 minutes immediately afterward.
Here it is, reduced in size, but still like 1080 wide when reduced almost by half. I'll make an exception for the special occasion.

Congratulations Bloody Green Shirt - you are an inspiration to us all
We did it, guys. This will be an evening long remembered. Or at least we'll remember it until the 6,000,000th Post thread is started.
I predict it will have something to do with J.J. Abrams being a monster or one of us showing off a brand new hat. And knowing this board, it'll probably combine both.
No intense of slighting Bloody Green Shirt's victory (congratulations!!At least the 5,000,000th post was in this thread!

Congratulations Bloody Green Shirt - you are an inspiration to us all) : if you just go by the post number in the database, #5,000,000 was already made in 2011: http://www.trekbbs.com/showpost.php?p=5000000 by Gaith.
#6,000,000 can't be found
#7,000,000 was made more than a year ago by Ar-Pharazon:

At the moment (10:27 CET) the newest post bears the number 8,844,178 http://www.trekbbs.com/showpost.php?p=8844178
BJ's observation about the board only counting every third post is indeed correct. Pretty crazy - usually, a database is supposed to count every post. Maybe it's a safeguard in case 2 posters happen to post at exactly the same moment?
Or the board counts the ads as well - that'd explain the 2:1 ratio![]()
